You should never unplug pencil coils when the engine is running. The correct way of diagnosing the fault with coils is to undo them all from the head and pull them off the spark plug one by one to find the faulty coil.

Through the bonnet. There will be a metal anti tamper cage over it. Somtimes they just pull off, other times they need the little wheel turning at the back to release them.

Also on the sports, the washer was never a fix on actis. It was on the normal clios but not on the sports. They actually gave you a diagram to show you which part of the strut mounting area to grind away.
