To strip or not to strip

I'd get rid of the rear plastics and stuff, but keep the head unit and stuff. I think driving without the stereo would be very boring.

Yeah. We all need petrol so makes sense. Sainsbury's petrol at 1.30

    172 cup or 182 cup?

I'll buy it if you do!

    172 cup or 182 cup?

182 cup is pointless. You could have saved more weight by taking a s**t before you go out. 182 with cup packs is better, but a b**ch to buy coilovers for if you ever wanted to. 172 cup is the hero's choice. fact. /172 cup owner

Seen a 172, but is it worth the money?

£10,000 at least. But they really have gone up a lot over the last few months.... people must be finding their hero capes ready for the summer.

Standard or Upgraded Door and Rear speakers.

A whole lot better than FLI. Good choice.

Seen a 172, but is it worth the money?

To putit in perspective, I paid £2350 for mine in October, had FSH, virtually perfect condition, also needed belts doing. I paid £2350. On that basis, I'd say that price is about what I'd expect to pay for a good one, from a dealer. Tell him if he'll pay for the cambelt to be done then you'll...

    best ebay link ever Humorous

It's very funny, but this one is better, and it's for charity. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160559216667#ht_705wt_1140&afsrc=1&afsrc=1

Looking for a Clio tuning specialist Wilts

Also, have a look at the JMS inlet.... that will see you close to the figures available from ITB's but for a lot less money. Looks gorgeous too.

Looking for a Clio tuning specialist Wilts

Plenty of people with 200+.... Dave's is ~210hp with ITB's and cam's. Definitely possible mate, but I'd agree that TDF is the place to go.

    For a caring audio bod.

You need the removal tools chap, they're real cheap. There's little metal tabs on the harness that lock the head unit in to hold it in place.

    Photoshop Request because I suck!

Greatest film ever made. The Blue with Orange looks good. Matt will look gay, just looks cheap. Buy some paint match rattle cans and see how it goes.

Standard or Upgraded Door and Rear speakers.

FLI are shocking. Buy quality speakers or don't bother. Focal are superb, but you pay for the quailty..... Try JL audio. But yes, the speakers are 5 1/4''

    Yozza Sport Backbox

If you paid you membership, you'd be able to see the traders section and ask Fred@BTM (who makes Yozza's) yourself. Problem solved.
  19. J

Will these fit on my 182 ??

they're not, they're ~ 35mm drop You don't want to drop anymore than Eibach's offer without changing your shocks too. Your shocks will die very very quickly with a 60mm drop.

    Yozza Sport Backbox

Yozza's are built to order mate, so it won't be any more trouble that you have a 182 manifold. Save and buy the whole system. It's the only way. Remember, if you do it that way, it also means that you can sell your current system.

    Declared mods

I asked them on the phone and this is pretty much what they said.... And 'people in modified cars are more likely to make a claim' BUT, If they're going to charge me for them, they bloody well should be replacing them. Especially as the value is more or less the same as a new set of turini's...

After a decent pair of tyres

They're great. I had PE2's on when I bought the car, I'd rate the Hankook's as at least equal. Plenty of people recommend them on here. Plus, they're good on track :)

    Declared mods

I paid an extra £35 for my wheels, but they said they'll be replaced with standard.

Eibach springs are great. Get sportlines if it's drop that you want.

    Unacceptable!!

Most renault dealers are morons. It's been proved time and time again. Get on to Renault UK, they tend to be pretty keen to help with things like this. Edit: reading the rest of your replies, I agree, making a formal complaint may be a little OTT, but £180 for plugs is daylight robbery and an...

    Mounting Depth :@

It is yeah, but just make some mdf rings to put behind the speakers to act as spacers.
