I said Bilstein's because they're not a lot more money, but have an incredibly good reputation.
How can you not include Kam racing's deal? You're comparing prices, but not including the best price.... I get the feeling you just enjoy arguing with people on internet forums.
I never said I owned...
Re: looking at buying some brembo for my 182 does anyone know what cars i can get the
they need a lot of modification to fit. More than it's worth, just buy some other four pots that are designed for the 1*2.
You don't own them on a Clio either. I don't see the difference.
They come well recommended, I've never said to anyone that I own them. In fact, I quite clearly say that they are what I would spend my money on.
Each to their own really.... Team dynamics are pretty light too.
A lot of people don't give a crap about their wheel weight, just depends how keen you are I suppose.
Minimising unsprung weight is critical for performance. Buy the lightest wheels you can afford IMO. Although on a road car, you've got a bit of a trade off for strength and looks.
This is exactly why everybody says to take it to a specialist to get cam belts changed. They would have picked up on that and saved you a whole lot of time and money.
I've driven a ph1 and a cup. I bought the cup, then thought maybe I should get a ph1 instead, but quickly got over that. I'd buy a cup again given the choice. I don't miss the gadgets. I think the ultimate compromise is the cup with air con, but they don't pop up often.
My neighbour has a...
Overpriced. As martin said, £3500 ish.
If he doesn't have proof of the belts, then they haven't been done. And the front bumper has been resprayed at some point.
Being as you've just spent all that money, you have to keep it. If you sell it, you'd be financially in the same position as if you'd not bothered fixing it and set fire to it.
Certainly will.
You'll never get the gains that you'd see from a custom map, but the flexibility makes it worthwhile. You can play around with maps, pops and bangs maps etc (if henk has released a 182 one yet?), if you don't like it, map it again.
Simply, it's a box that allows you to remap your car yourself, either using the standard maps or you can buy a custom one from henk.
It also works as a fault code reader.
It won't give you huge peak hp gains but mid range will be improved a lot. Certainly a noticeable difference.
