Seems our posts have been shuffled to the correct thread, lol
I've got a few of the old M42 fitment lenses on adaptors. Cheap as piss, but that Helios is a lovely bit of kit. Doe the 44-2 have 8 blades as opposed to 6?
God I miss mine

Sold it to some clown called Rob who basically trashed it and then he sold it to @Coops Mk1
Dusting off one of my fave lenses for my DSLR and going out for a mooch around Salford Quays.

A very easy engine to get good power out of, but also a s**t load to go wrong with them and many have been thrashed. The interior really is a nice place to be, and you wouldn't think it was based on a Mk4 golf chassis.

I'm considering a set of springs as the V6 kept the original pre-facelift height, facelift was lower by 25mm. I just dont want to ruin the ride as it's actually quite a nice drive. But 30mm drop and some 15mm spacers would do nicely.
@gally Got any pics of yours?
Bit of an update, managed to get my speakers mounted to some baffles and then onto the card, they sound a little better

WOW. That's exactly like I had at 16 years old. 1.6 Ghia. Brown vinyl roof with brown velour trim. Even had a rev counter on the dash. VTE 2T. Shame I don't have any photographs of it.
I sold it in 1996 and it was last due for tax in 2004
This is the kind of thread I love to see. Mk1 valvers have a little place in my heart after owning a naples red one many many moons ago.
Good luck with the resto, looks like you've got it all in hand.
I've had 2 maritius blue Mk1 saxos in the past, a VTR on the Mk2 VTS wheels, and an original VTS. Both great cars, rev happy little things. Prices seem to have rocketed over the last few years as they all get scrapped for welding or turned into "track cars" and end up upside down in a gravel...
