what sort of weight are you gonna be looking at for the whole car?
im determined to leave panels and glass as is, just to save money more than anything lol
im just wondering if i have used that hole for the mounting bolt, as they are listed for any mk1 or mk2, so maybe the extra hole is for differently spaced mounting holes on the different mk's?
if i have used it im sure i could drill through the side part and mount it there?
another thing is...
i have these subframes
the holes on the far bottom left and far bottom right, can i use these to mount the lap belt to? or am i better welding a plate in or drilling a new hole in the side section?
i know what to do with the other 3 points, just this one has got me scratching my head

mine has held up really well. must have had it on for about a year, sprayed it with high temp...
i assume to use as a guinea pig for future development?
if he can get it to run on stock management think how many people will opt for this instead of an expensive aftermarket system!
i might be wrong, but its why i would do it lol
looking tip top :D
should have sprayed my interior :( (maybe when the car is finished i can find a weekend when im bored and do it, its not as if there is loads of interior to come out lol)
oh and can your work do any colour in rattle can form? like say if i gave you a paint code? ;)
Re: My mk1 track car blog
no problem mate :D
yeh it does look alot closer to the arb now, but as you say, if i jack up the middle section it clears it nicely, so a hanger may be needed
just ordering my sabelt harnesses now, and then i think its time to do some bodywork :clown: :dead:
Re: My mk1 track car blog
with difficulty and a bit of luck lol
basically the ktec centre section comes with an adjustable flange slotted into the end, what i did was take this out and turn it round, then weld it in place. the bit on the end of the flange that would normally slot into the...
Re: My mk1 track car blog

a little birdy told me sparco and omp products work together in other applications aswell :D which is nice
has something to do with immobiliser iirc as the signal from the decoder ring runs through the uch (that might be wrong though)
basically i have 3 ecus in my possession, two end in 240 and one ends in 206, i just wanted to know whether they are all for a phase 1, which i now think they are...
cheers beanie :D
so basically i have come to the conclusion that serial numbers that end in 206 A and 240 B are both for a phase 1 but use slightly different software
not entirely sure what this software does though lol
what age was your 172 beanie? an early or later one?
