The exclusive is just a drab dull metallic green, too ordinary in my opinion for such a nice car. When I was looking at 172s they had a used exclusive at Sighthill in Edinburgh, but it wasnt until I looked inside and saw the different seats that I realised what it was.
When I was seventeen and had my first car, my dad said to me "Its better to be five minutes late in this world, than five minutes early in the next". I often think about that as I see complete nutcases overtaking me approaching bends etc etc.
:o
A neighbour was telling me that her 19...
Good lad! It isnt quite as bad on clear roads like motorways or empty dual-carriageways, but silly on smaller roads , or unfamiliar roads, where there might be unexpected tight bends or where there are other road users to consider. But then if the roads are empty and there is nobody to race...
I have a brother in the police force and several times he has had to knock on someones door to tell them that their son/daughter/mother/father has been involved in a fatal RTA. These sometimes inconsiderate boy racers dont ever imagine that something like that will ever happen to them or their...
Viv there are a few guys near me who, when driving on their own in the car, they are fairly sensible. The minute they have two or three male passengers, they drive like lunatics, screeching round corners, mostly on the wrong side too.
Were you alone in your car BigBoreBri?
I was going to...
Sorry BigBoreBri, but being female I think you are pretty stupid driving at speeds like that around country roads. I saw a guy killed in seconds about eighteen months ago, doing speeds like that - on a bend when he smacked head on into a horsebox. I was immediately behind the horsebox...
If you have a fax he will send it that way. I have just looked out the info he faxed me and it also gives the gearbox number, delivery date to my dealer, number of miles on that date - which was one mile - the date of expiry for the warranty, and even notes the warranty work which was carried...
Contact the DVLA and quote the vin number and see if they can tell you anything about the cars history!! The only thing is that there might be a privacy law preventing information to be given out.
Might be worth a try though.
Better still - SEND CB1A a PM giving him your VIN number or...
Yes the V6 with UK spec comes with the RAC Tracker as standard and at least the first years monitoring, and I think that Jeremy Townsend will be able to let us know the correct details of this tomorrow if he looks in.
Dont forget the cost of installation Mitchy. Yours obviously doesnt have...
Renault sponsor a friend of ours who races in the Superbikes and Stuart who works for Renault and goes to the races with the team says that he can get at least 20% discount on Clios EXCEPT FOR THE V6, because I have already asked him. If a Renault employee cant get a discount Im sure that...
He reckons that he paid £24,000 for it over a year ago and wont drop it any more and one of the alloys is damaged too. He also said he will easily sell it when people realise that there will be a wait for the Mk2. Personally I think that if someone wants a Mk2 they will wait for a Mk2...
I think that the consumer programmes on the television, like Watchdog, and complaints articles in car magazines help to give you confidence in challenging these salesmen, who all seem to have been to the same training schools for fibbers.
Also, dont ever let them tell you to take the new car...
