Thats exactly what I think, honesty is the best policy! They probably thought they had a stupid dumb blonde who would not have a clue, but they found out to their cost or rather loss (of a sale) that she wasnt as stupid after all.
Like you say, I am sure that another nice V6 will come along...
The good news is that I still have a lovely little black172, the bad news is that I wont be getting the V6 because it isnt full UK spec as was described to me the first time I went to see it.
Initially it was priced at £21,995 and I told the salesman I saw that day, that I had seen an advert...
Do you have legal protection? That is always to be recommended because if there is any dispute over whose fault an accident is, the insurance companys appointed lawyer will fight for you and it usually costs only about £15 extra, which is a small percentage of the insurance cost.
I have 17" wheels on my 172 and my car has never felt any different to when the 16" ones were on. They look better and with a lower profile tyre, the wheel fills the arch a bit better.
Really sorry that this has happened to your nice new car, it is bad enough getting a stone chip far less getting the front hit by a Nova. The driver must have been pretty shocked at damaging such a new car.
Why dont you tell the insurance company that it was a V6 until the wings got pushed...
At my house! Jeremy is arranging for a cool blue V6 255 to be delivered to me as soon as one becomes avaiable, as it will be well looked after in my care.
;)
Griff, dont speak about Jeremy like that! I wont hear a word against him and I find it very reassurring to have someone like him from Renault UK to help us with queries that need answers from time to time.
I would like to thank Jeremy for helping me...
Well that just goes to show one of the reasons why it is great living North of the Border!
I have also found excellent, courteous service and nice people at the Renault dealer in Seafield Road, Edinburgh.
:D :D

Which, the ring or the car? I am just beginning to think "What have I done, ordering such a totally IMPRACTICAL CAR???" I cant even get my dogs in it. Maybe I should tell the guy to cancel it!!!!
;)
Thanks Louise. Did you see my message about the disappearance of your "Late Night Crew" thread? What happened to it after all this time? I bet that naughty Jas deleted it along with the Word Association Game!
Thanks Greeper but it hasnt arrived yet, also he will have to be named.
I walked past Jaques earlier tonight and felt very sad for him, so my husband said that if I felt that way, I should phone the garage to cancel the V6.
:(
The two half circles are slightly different in shape also the spaces above the exhaust are different. If they had been photoshopped wouldnt they have been identical?
Rhys
If you look closely at this pic (not as sharp now enlarged) you can see that the bumper has some indentations around the curves above the exhausts.
