Not so much, I just hate it when people argue things that they don't understand.
It wasn't a personal thing, your car is quick, there's no debating that. It's just fact that lighter wheels are better.
The laws of physics rule here. Energy is needed to bring the wheel/tire mass up to speed (mph) and to spin it to the related rpm. Consider a lighter tire/wheel combo:
m = mass reduction
I = inertia reduction
w = rotational speed
v = car speed
r = tire radius
E = total energy saved by mass...
And that means that it wouldn't be better on 15's does it?
You're wrong. I'm not going to post the formula again as it's very long and I can be arsed. But, lighter wheels are better. FACT.
And I'm guessing that, from your answer, you don't understand the physics, and are just spouting crap...
LOL. ok then. I'm assuming you don't understand anything about the physics behind the reasons why lighter wheels are better? you've just decided that you're right?
Clio's look s**t on 17's.
16's are best overall for looks, unless your car is on coilovers.
15's aren't just for looks. They're better in every respect, better handling, better acceleration, cheaper tyres, better range of tyres, lighter etc etc etc.
Why don't you find out why people say...
Other peoples quotes make no difference to you whatsoever. Everyone is individual.

^^^ I was with you, until you mentioned 'the loudest.com', their stuff is W.A.N.K.
Go for Some good components up front, but co-axials will surfice for the rear.
What's your budget?
Vigilante ftw.
as much as I know it's not smart. If i caught some f**ker keying my car, I'd beat the living crap out of them.
If I thought for a second that the police would do anything about it, then you wouldn't have to take it into your own hands.
Aha, ok I know where that is (other than in Thurrock I mean).
There we go then, Thurrock services it is! Unlikely that we'll get moved on from there too.
RM16 3BG according to Google, for anyone that wants it.
I just wanted to do the fast food rap tbh.... :cool:
Vicky, we haven't mentioned the services yet.... that does sound better though. Easy for everyone to find. I only mentioned Mcdonalds because a lot of people (including me) don't really know where they are going.... Which services are they?
The trophy is only worthwhile if you're going to keep it standard suspension wise IMO.
Since you could buy a 182, a pair of bimarco's and some good coilies and still be spending less money, I'd find it difficult to hand my money over for a trophy.
