Love to see this.
Helpful bunch. I remember totally F'ing up the airbag module thing and Russ (changes his user name every week) saved my arse.
Question for you. Where did you source your rear discs/bearings from?
If you squint or not actually, gives you the idea how it would look with 2118.
Personally I want to get the 2118's done in a light silver. But it's got other ideas on where I spend the money.
Wow is this where I left things.....small updates then.
Eventually, everything was fitted and the EPAS worked like a dream. In my personal opinion, I highly rate it.
Not long after I had everything in this turned up
So out came the seats and in it went at some point I relocated the...
Before you say it, I've searched and although there are those with similar problems, none are like my issue, because I'm special.
I have NO brake lights and I have the ABS and SERV lights on the dash. I DO have rear lights and indicators.
Replaced brake light switch - still no brake lights...
Massive thread bump here.
I'm needing a length of EPAS ecu wire.
Looking for the right gauge etc. I've seen above "7mm^2 wire". Searching for that on ebay, give me both nothing.
Help?!
As above more updates.
I bought some BH products to sort the surface rust.
Still stewing in Deox.
Then last weekend a rather busy shift with @k.sokhi
PMS AC Delete fitted
New Rad and expansion tank
(bottom right, old expansion tank)
Powdercoated Subframe with fresh bolts in...
So after I did all of the above I manage to slip a disc in my back which left me bed bound and unable to play cars.
There wasn't much I could do as the Subframe was at the powdercoaters and I was waiting on a few bits.
Eventually I was back on my feet and able to do a few bits on the car...
Chaps,
Converting the Clio to EPAS including a DCI rack. Whilst I sent the subframe away for powdercoating etc. I seem to have misplaced the bolts that attach or attached the original rack to the subframe.
I notice the DCI/EPAS rack has no bushes and bolts direct to the subframe.
Anyone...
Just give them a heads up, they're sound and as it's just four cars should be cool. It's when 10+ cars pull up is when issues arise. Cool little place.
It'll still be in bits as is my spine. Lol.
Have a good trip. Have you told Baffle your coming? Might be good to give them a heads up, they aren't really set up for many cars and favour bikes over cars.
I'll be dropping the rear beam on my Clio at some point and one thing I want to do in an effort to make life a little easier is plug the brake lines.
I see @Amos91 did something similar, anyone know where I can get these blanks/plugs from?
Cheers,
But this (my issue, which isn't a issue, in the picture) in the picture is fine?
How'd you change the disc when the studs are locktight'd in, crack them free?
Again, never changed the disc/hub on the rear of a Clio so I am totally wet behind the ears. Ha.
Riiight.
So it's not like the front? Where you can slip the disc over the studs.
Of all my clios I've never touched the rear discs. So this area is new to me.
Appreciate the replies.
Hello,
Fitting a stud and nut kit to the rear of the clio and the shoulder/knob/wide but doesn't go through the disc.
If I were to fit these (with locktite) I wouldn't be able to take the disc off?
Are these the wrong studs?
Yes I need new discs.
Funnily enough, had a call from the powdercoater today and the subframe and other bits are done. I just couldn't get them today. Pick them up Monday.
Been keeping busy by refreshing the calipers as they were multiple colours and peeling. Stripped them back and gone for an OEM silver.
Once the...
Knowing I'd have a fresh Subframe and ARB (and powerflex purple bushes) I could have old or at least rusty dirty hardware on it.
Saw a hack on here about using citric acid to freshen things up.
Overall pretty happy with how they came out.
However the outer ARB brackets were beyond saving...
