Look at how big some cars have grown! The VW Golf is huge compared to the previous models, the new Polo is about the size of the old Golf, the Pug 306 replacement 307, is massive compared to the old 306 and the newer Fiestas are so much bigger than the old models....

Our BMW garage always valets our car and they even hang a little tag inside to say it has been valeted! Our local independent garage always does this if the car is in for a service. They have a nice older guy, retired from driving ambulances, who loves cleaning cars, collecting and delivering...

You are much better getting a second opinion for something like that. Definitely dont use main dealers for those sort of problems, they have too many targets to meet! Instead, find a good local, friendly, wanting to help you, reasonably priced, honest, independent garage / workshop / bodyshop...

Quite often I wax my wheels, so that the dirt does seem to come off much easier, and as mine have sixteen spokes, there are lots of areas where dirt collects, but a good hosing gets much of it off first of all, then I use a soft rounded brush to get into the nooks and crannies.

Rob There is nothing wrong with bikers. A couple of our mates race in the British Superbikes and they would be very annoyed at you for saying that. Personally, I think that bikers are mostly very alert on the road and usually have to try to anticipate what some silly car drivers are going...
