There not fit for purpose if they fail so I'd go with that angle but they aren't directly covered under warently but under sale of good parts have to be fit for purpose which these shocks arn't.
Why not get a phase 1 172 they have the light weight like a Cup but have the aircn etc plus more fun cars and easier to fix no stupid computers.
Otherwise I'd get a full fat 172 the difference isn't huge compaired to a caup and if you like the extras ie ABS seats then why not remove the spare...
Personally I'd get it road legal its easy to test the car then. Also not reliant on lifts on a trailer etc and you can get up and drive staright to track days full blast no speed limits/trouble towing a car early morning.
Airbox heat soak isn't an issue. but on the cheap not a bad idea...
Just South or Chester.
Theres a guide for fornt brakes on the members area and fubar i think wrote a rear one somwhere off the forum I've got a rear diks guide in PDF format PM me your email address if you want a copy it includes oher stuff on the 172 as well.
Lines are easy just a bit...
Find what disk they are using for a 360 etc MM disk and but them and have the brakcets made up so calipers fit the bigger diks. 360m disk might be difficult to find best bet is ones with exchngable outers from Demoen Tweeks but there not cheap will have a look in a second.
Lines arn't much extra work just cover the master cylinder remove the two nuts on the loine put new lines in tigthen up connectors and bleed the brakes.
Get a decient tool kit for starters and I'd do it yourself so long as you know someone who could help you if you get very stuck.
Labour for disks and pads I'd say 1 hour, lines an extra 20 minutes than bleeding the system another 30 minutes. Garage sound like the working froma book as book...
Go with normal offset IMO 42 I think it was but best check.
If its going on a Williams blue car I'd say stick with the original gold with silver rim they look superb IMO.
With normal use people ruin the gearbox. Gearbox is only officialy able to be warentied to take 200NM of torque which is stock torque level clutch would need to be uprated as well as again its weak.
bigger hammer.
I'd go lube them up or if all else doesn't work heat the hub up a bit.
You shouldn't need much force get someone to lean on the hube and pull it downwanrds and the bolts should come out easy.
Helps as more CC means better power say 10hp but more importantly low end power is much better plus cams etc are much better with a 2.0 bottom end.
You use the f7R bottom end froma Williams or a old Megan. I'm guessing Matts got a Williams one.
Cliobuyer I'm guessin he has a Valver so a...
Nope there ok they need redesigning though as the rear ones fill with Mud as the bottom holes are to small and the frotn ones kake up with mud depends how much you wash the car though.
Williams has decient rallying pedegree its just getting on now people have fogotten the reputation the car...
Yep brakes at the back are idential ifs the front padw which are slightly different on the 182 as they have a small chamfer but they are the eplacment pads the old 172 design without the chamfer arn't sold.
Nope.
You need the new seats wired up or the second you restart the car after the faults found it will come back on again assuming the lights only indicating the seats arn't connected previously.
The dealership can tell you want the fault is any garage with a correct computer can check the...
Everything you need engine gearox wiring looms UCH ECU dashboard brakes suspension.
Unless you have a hugly modidied Clio its not IMO worth doing as you start adding up the other bits you want to change ie clutch cambelt brakes new fluids etc it ends up not far off the price of a whole 172.
Dep£150 i think the specilast do it for many garage won't want the job as theres not much space to do work on a Williams.
Nothing else worth doing cams maybe but decient ones are expensive plus then you need a remap to make the most.
The part number for the dash bit is apparently. 82 00 069 065 BRACKET DASH PANE £17.39 its just the raised bit for that the whole top.
I need to check that though.
The garage who fixed it woulnd't have mentioned it as obviously the light were on because it wasn't wired up nothing to do with the crash.
The lights on since its registered a fault hopefully the crahes the cars been in havn't meesed up the system and a cleareing of the faults and a rewireing...
There a place in spane who can reset the airag computer apparently (its the same as the pretention) do a searhc on ebay I think otherwise a new unit from Renault is £300 or so plus fitment and accoring to Renault thats the only fix.
There no other fix. You still need to buy a new pretentioner...
Can you not jsut use standard Mk2 electric window kits the will be cheaper than £180.
What about Fk's instead of airbags just set them as low as possible new rear springs/front springs arn't much to lower it a bit more.
Front 4 pots thats silly money IMo get some 2285mm ketc conversion for...
