Pads will wear a slightly bit more on one side than the other anyway. Unusal to have the outside to wear more though.
Chnaging pads chekcing sliders etc is easy DIY job.
Normal brakes are more than fine for most people if you drive very hard on track there still fine only Bedford which is hard on brakes ever gave me trouble.
If you want to upgrade the brakes stock disk and DS2500 pads are more than enough you cna get 3000's but that overkill you'll have...
Renault are talking rubish the 172/Cup use the same hub. It seems the none CUped 182 might use a differnet hub but I've not checked for certain. The Cuped 182 use a different hub 60mm spaced rarther than the 54mm spaced or the others.
I assume were on about the phase 2 cars?
If so then 1.6 and diesel both use the 58mm hubs same as the 1.4/1.2 16V and 90% of the 1.2 8V. The 172 uses 54mm hubs but the kit not designed for the extra weight track of the 172 so won't fit.
If were on about phase 1 cars it gets more complicated...
Why change the TDC sensor? If its not broken no point new ones are modified but if the old one not broke why spend?
Water pumps a good idea.
Why would everyone want a 172/182 its not something I aim my life towards sounds more like someone who's got other issues.
have a read here about oil specs
Renault standards/amaounts of oil/fluid required for the car.
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=166251
Renault dealers use 5-40 or 10-40 usually and they don't need any special oils. 5-40 is for cars used down to something like -25 degress...
I@ve never heard of it.
SOunds more like a exajourated story more lilly it was an untaxed car without a cat being driven on the road illegally and was crushed.
Stick another idential engine in Matt on 01254386661 will have one in stock I'd imagine sounds lik your cars been running with no oil so would be gone but get a garage to check first might just need a new oil pump.
It will fit its the wiring etc you need to sort out but with a phase1 its easier.
Driveshafts might have to be custom made so that £400 or so extra.
You'd need a new radiator you need the ECU and the dials etc to make it easier.
Whty not buy a 1.8 it will be cheaper.
