    You will need to geta new one then pop round the dealers unless the delaership you had it service is connected to Renault maian one so any dealer can check your cars been serviced ansd stamp the whole book for you as applicable.

    Exhaust woes

    No idea the link doesn't seem to work for me. Personally I'd go get a Renault ro copy etc part and stick that on instead the exhaust can be fut and joined with a clamp.

    Cams on a 1.6 plur remap not including labour plus 4-2-1 manifold plus decat plus NOS in marts alone is more expensive than a 172 engine running gear brakes gearbox etc and more relaibel and more powerful (assuming you don't go mad with the NOS). Plus the 172 can make more power wheras the 1.6...

    how much does your clio cost you a month?

    Nothing, paid for the cars just over 2 years ago. Other bills for it total about £220 a month I'd guess for fuel service etc.

    I think Williams rear shocks will fit but its unusal to want to wide track a 1.2 get a 1.8 16V for starters etc before wide track.

    Do it yourself its not difficult so long as you have someowhere warm and dry to do it. I use the super dot 4.1 Halfords used to sell Demon tweeks now sell it but no idea who else does.

    Same width I think there thinner. Whay would you want to just swap pistons get the whoel engine if our going to turbo it as the f4RT is a better engine for turboing than the 172 engine plus the gearbox is stronger.

    Best remap is a custom made one but only do it when you've finsihed adding bits to your car so it will take advanatge of your engine the most it can.

    And in idler tensioner of some sot as the AUX belt is difficult to re-route without having somethine inplace of the pump so people use a tensioner I forget who it was off here was selling them.

    Finally, after 71k miles...

    Get a small kid to do the front light its not difficult if you've small hands just a tight squeeze. I use the Halofrds uprated brigtnes sones not the ones for look only performance. I still blow them ever year or so but stock ones lasted 6 month for me so its not a bad investment was only £16...

    Renault none RS onces can be bodged to fit you can get rally style ones but not my cup of tea.

    Good point. Other option is to bodge it use one or two jubilee clips to go round. Dave I meant new driveshaft. If you have big balls on the drive shaft stretching the rubber to fit is a pain.

    I tried to read your last post as best i could but I couldn't 100% understand what happened but if you plugeed other setas in and didn't wire them up then crashed then put the old seats back in and the light didn't go off then its your problem not the insurance IMO.

    Anything over 5mm I'd buy proper hub centriacl ones with longer bolts etc. Dmeon Tweeks sella few types but most places sell them if you look round.

    Brake fluid change

    Nope not that difficult if your like me you spill loads trying to get the brakes fully blead. It makes a huge different bleed the brakes in most care and people thing you've stuck better brakes or new pads on. I'd use dot 4, 5.1 goes hydroscopic over time so not much use apart from a race car...

    RPM will kill your engine not boost assuming you control det etc. Your probelm is running over say 150hp even on 98ROn on a stock engine you'll end up deting so you'll need to lower the CR or else do other bits internally or start playing with water injection. Gearbox is ok upto about...

    Seems very steep. Good condition IMo means no damaged wheels for starters. Anway £8k I'd offer not much more say look on the trader there ones with 28k 54platers for £8k and thats what there aksing not what there getting

    Renault supply then with the new gaiter and grease as a kit. Only cheap £20 or so I think. No point trying to fix them IMo though just get a new shaft much less haslte.

    What amount of NOS? that will make the big difference. 130hp maybe depends what type of work you have done proper cams custom ground with stand alone ECU is better buy a long way than regrings with a off the shelf remap by miles but more pricy a proper 4-2-1 manifold is expensive as it needs...

    Completly and utterly strip the car ever KG saved is free HP. Best mods well you need a fair few hp top get there but stickly front tyres and resset the suspension so the wheel face forwars then manifold rework, decat, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, high pressure on the rear tyres and realy strip it...
