They're from http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com. The company that makes them is do88.se they came over from Sweden.
All fitted now too
Noticeable difference in intake noise, turbo whistle, etc. the exhaust not has changed a little - deeper.
It feels a bit more urgent too, 2nd gear...
Quick question - for full on 'stealth' should I paint the intake pipe black? The OE pipe is black plastic so a quick coat of satin or gloss black may keep it less obvious. It's a shame to cover up a nice shiney pipe but I'm really considering it!
So, my pipework has arrived - i'm yet to fit it though.
Here's the intake pipe, looks like a very well made piece of kit and has both connections.
Here's the hard pipe for turbo - intercooler, again looks well made, nice finish and has the appropriate hangers.
I've not taken a picture of the...
Dangerous was probably unfair to it. It's only problem is body roll to be honest, so that's what I'd like to improve on.
I suppose it doesn't help coming from a 197 R27!
I've seen uprated rears, but for fronts I could look to the Mazda 3 MPS as that should bolt straight on (and be stiffer i'd have thought)
Will they alone be enough do you think or shall I use that as a starting point and see how it goes after that.
B6's are designed for use with OE springs...
I never thought about that. What would be the options there then? Will a set of stiffer shocks be enough or will I need to go down the route of bespoke firmer springs?
I've toyed with the idea of a set of Koni FSD shocks, they should help with the handling but keep it civilised.
OEM they will stay then!
I am gonna have to lower it at some point though, it's boardering on dangerous at times! Thankfully there was a 'sport' model that was 15mm lower and slightly stiffer so I think I'll get away with something like that.
Pretty sure they're about 160bhp, so Deffo should feel down compare to the ST!
Should be good when he gets the Porsche, even a low spec boxster will be great fun!
So, I managed to sort the boost piping yesterday. I've not got the hard pipe kit yet but I've sorted the pipe that kept popping off.
Original set up
New set up
It's a much tighter bend, so doesn't catch on anything now and it s much better fit. I took it for a few high gear full throttle...
Cheers guys. Just trying to resize the pics but photobucket editing doesn't work on my work laptop! I'll edit later and put of pics of the new intercooler boost pipe set-up.
So, a very quick update on this.
I've removed the ECU from the airbox and blocked the hole, amazingly I can definately feel a difference. It feels much smoother than before and makes a little more induction noise.
I've been having issue with a hot side boot pipe popping off under full boost in...
Have I missed the part of the advert that mentions the turbo? If not I'd like to know how a pipercross air filter has given that an additional 100bhp!
No doubt it will be quick but my god is it ugly!!
Mine has a boost pipe that likes to pop off occasionally. Annoyingly the last time it happend was on the M1!!
The standard rubber doesn't seem to like 18-20psi. Some new larger, silicone and alloy intercooler pipework is now on order (2.5" instead of 2").
Kindertons dealt with a repair of mine a few years ago. It was a Megane Coupe that i'd paid £2,000 for a year earlier.
I was really hoping it was going to be written off, but the bill came back at £1950 and they repaired it! I also had a hire car for 2 weeks.
There is hope for you yet!
