Yeh the one closest to the engine.
Or you could try swapping the front and rear ones to see if that improves anything.
The one after the cat just monitors the emissions but doesn't have any effect on fueling so if the front one is faulty but the rear one isn't then this might be a cheap fix
Gsf on a weekend via the reserve and collect option using the weekend discount code
Comes to about 60 quid, choose the premium option, should be a valeo
Sounds rough as!
I'd take the aux belt off and check all the pulleys feel OK first.
I'm sure somebody else with more knowledge will be along soon though.
Still waiting for my alloy bend but my filter is here so just been to have a look.
Turns out I've got a 75 sized battery which is already butted up very close to the ecu.
Anybody successfully fitted one with a 75 sized batt?
Contacted admiral today and requerequested a quote for lowering by less than 50mm and they came back with 26 quid which I didn't think was too bad.
Now the dilemma is what do I tell the wife I want for Xmas?? Cooksports, prolines or an RS tuner?
I will be on standard 172 shocks until they need...
I think I'll hold off until neaxt year before I bother doing anything.
When is it classed as a mod? When I bought the car it had a kwick fit special on it which was loud as s**t but I wouldn't have classed it as a mod. Thousands of people must buy exhausts from kwick fit and not tell the...
Do you have to declare mods with sky or are they completely mod friendly?
Would I have to declare prolines? They basically look completely standard and don't lower the car.
Sorry to bump an old thread.
I've read the lot.
I he got a standard 172 ph2 and was planning on getting some cooksports but now I've read they are lower than sportlines but only work well on cup shocks. I'd love cup shocks but I'm upgrading bit by bit and probably can't afford cup shocks for...
Slacken all the joints. Jack it up around the centre section and backbox. Then tighten all joints and lower jack. If it still sags then remove rear hangers, centralise, fill the lower bits with tigerseal and wait for it to set. Then refit.
On a 50k I wouldn't bother. But unless you've had it from new be wiery. My old 182 has less miles now than I sold it on. I sold it just before the mot so these must be really easy to clock
Middle hanger is orange. Brand new
My ktec stealth centre hanger isn't welded on, it's a clamp style one so I'll slacken that and the rear band strap and push it up and tighten again to see if this helps.
Great quality exhaust though, even if it is a little loud lol, hoping it tames down a...
Fitted my new ktec stealth today and all is well other than the tail pipe is hanging about an inch lower than the bumper and really annoying me.
I've had a play and the only way I can think of making it actually stealth would be to have the tail pipe firing at an angle slightly in the direction...
I did mine from the top without touching the subframe.
If you shift the ecu, radiator etc there's just enough space to shift the box into the corner to gain access to the clutch. Valeo kit comes with an alignment tool so you don't need to check its central by looking at it from the side as the...
Right ok thank. I'll have a look tomorrow and put some pics of the wiring on and hopefully somebody can advise me on which stalk will be the best option.
Nah it only works from the button on the end of the stalk.
If I go for a stalk with both fogs and horn button should it just be plug and play with the existing wiring?
I'm not too fussed about where the horn is if it's gooing to mean messing with wiring
