I had an interesting experience when I bought by 172. I needed to part exchange my 51 plate mini cooper as the cost of replacing the gearbox, clutch and steering rack was sky high, so took it in to part exchange.
Me: Hiya, i see you have a 172 for sale?
Dealer: Ooh, I don't know about that, I...
Spotted at around 1:10pm
Driving along the Thame road towards Thame from Risborough direction. i flashed you a bit late :o
Anyone here?
Gorgeous car, VERY clean.
Admiral are good. I insured my old Quiksilver at 17 fully comp for 800 quid, and they do a good job repairing, best service I've had.
bell.co.uk are who i'm with now (admiral/bell same company) bell strangely quoted me cheaper this year.
Re: f**kin fed up!
Thats good luck!
Its also good luck that you only curbed 2 wheels instead of four...

Erm, I really don't know. I started taking off the roof lining but I've bent the corner a bit. It's a bit of a pain in the backside to do.
I had to replace the aerial to see if it was just that, but it still didn't work, so then I wired up the aerial with the new leads (without threading it)...
I need to sort the aerial and re-wire the cd changer. How easy is it to do?
I need to re-thread the wire from the new aerial, I'm useless when it comes to this stuff, so if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.
:)
