Superb pics of a great looking motor!
Must get out to a good location and get some pics of mine (when the weather's better, so it might have a chance of being clean when I get there!)
Bill Thompson wrote a good article on this on the BBC news website the other week. Will dig out a link later... The basic jist was that you don't need anti-virus, but need something to protect against spyware etc (which many people forget...)
There was a superb vid linked on Pistonheads a few weeks back of a MAN tractor unit drifting - was a cool piece of driving (and not the sort of vehicle you expect to get such ludicrous powerslides!). Unfortunately seems to have vanished...
Sounds like you need a big(ger?) oil cooler there then Fred...
Some great stuff there again Oilman...
I spend my days developing new lube additives, for a large additive company, and am always impressed by the depth of the explanations given in your articles... Top stuff!
Garrett have been working on electric turbos for a while (basically a turbo with an electric motor driving it rather than exhaust gases). Has been a fair few mentions of it in recent SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) publications...
Imagine this thing is slightly less effective though...
Should be able to find a version of windows media player somewhere on microsoft's site (or version tracker)... Tried ages ago on my old G3 iMac - but it has trouble sometimes, presumably due to my old machine (works fine on my bro's eMac)
I've just bought this one:

Had a load of Uni mates up for new year, and we had a massive Soulblade session. Have tried Tekken etc, but for great fun gameplay (esp. 2 player) it can't be beaten...
I've had that on mine, masses of condensation on the rear screen when you hit 5K+ rpm. It's now massively reduced since fitting the prospeed exhaust, so I assume it's just blowing out all the condensation/crap that gathers in the backboxes (which on the standard system are huge!)...
That's my...
Just be careful of their 'discounts' When I renewed my escort last year, the lad said he could give me a discount on that as me and the wife are both with DL (was renewing both policies). He quoted me £150 less than my previous renewal. Paperwork arrived and he'd switched the drivers over (so...
Sorry to hear about the smash...
Don't know if it's any use, but the other day, there were a fair few brand new 182s left at motorpoint at £11K ish....
Don't know if I'll be able to get that through?
I think (knowing what our IT nazi's are like!) that I'll just have to make do with logging in from home in the evenings instead, just to be on the safe side...
Am well annoyed today! The thought police at work have decided that CS should be blocked through our work firewall...
I tend to look on here a couple of times a day while waiting for things (so not wasting time!), and have actually learned a lot of useful stuff from here. However some c**k...
I was in Cleveland, Ohio for 3 months this time last year (right on the edge of Lake Erie - lots of tales from colleagues about getting 5 feet of snow in the space of a couple of days!)
All the cars I've been in/hired out there have been bog standard - and having asked them about driving in...
ABS is definitely not good on ice! Had the 182 on an icy hill (going down the slope) last year, moving at walking pace - put the brakes on - damn ABS gives me NO brake effort whatsoever - so I'm actually speeding up with my brakes on! Ended up having to pull the handbrake to get it to stop...
How do you manage to keep it looking so good! Mine looks awful at the minute - can't seem to keep the junk off it at the minute (and with dark evenings too, there's not much chance to keep it washed...)
