Cheers Edde & Marby - will get it booked in tomorrow then (will save me scrabbling about on the drive doing it...) I might well take it down to Burton too - see if they're any better than Derby...(who aren't terrible, just very inconsistent service - fine one time, hopeless the next...)
If all they'll do is shove the clip back over, then I'll do it myself! I would have hoped they'd strip it down and clean/regrease before refitting it - there could be all kinds of crap in there!!!
Decided to give the 182 a good detailing today, as it's been feeling neglected lately. As I was cleaning the driver's side front alloy, I noticed that there was a load of gunk on the brush and decided that it might need further investigation...
Jacked it up and took a look under to discover...
That'll be the wife... visiting a colleague on her way home from work - we're over in Belper, but she works in Langley Mill, so will look out for you if you're over this way! (really must get round to cleaning it too this weekend!)
I think warine warrior is/was also in Heanor with a 172...
Bet your mate's gutted!
By the sound of it though, I wonder if one of his turbo oil feed pipes had bust/dropped off and sprayed oil onto the exhaust... would tie in with seeing oil warning light, then fire....
Am about a fair bit - not in town too often lately, but often running around through town - I've got a sticker too, so give me a wave if you spot me...
Ah - a case of mistaken identity all round then!
I live in Belper and work just up the road, was just over in Mickleover for a work meeting today!
Both mine have almost matching private plates taking after my username...
If it's any help Maz, I noticed this on mine the other day (54 reg) and also have plenty of oil and nothing obvious falling off - just a knocking/ticking noise when idling in traffic...
Will have to take a look at this carbon canister thingy then...
A mate of mine has an E-reg one of these with Kawasaki ZX9-R power... it's pretty good fun - you hear a superbike approaching, but then see a knackered van flying towards you!
I've been out and about today (had a tour of the Westfield factory:cool:) and on the way down on the M6/M5 we went past a Mk2 Ph2 (non RS) which had obviously suffered a failure - bonnet up on the windscreen and bent to f**k.
By the time we'd spotted it, we were well past, so couldn't stop and...
It works both ways though - I sold some bits the other day and had put £10 delivery on one item and £4 on the other - sold them both to the same guy, and knocked him the £4 off, thinking it would be loads less than that for both. Postage was £9.90 - so a 10p budget for packing (£2 worth of...
Looking good there Sam - Can't argue with under 10 secs to 60, I expect that being well used to the car, having it stripped and minimising wheelspin will all combine to help your times - runs 4-9 look pretty good and consistent too.
Thanks for the comments, and hope you enjoy the G-Tech...
There is another major advantage to the ipod - accessories...
It's not so easy to find cases, car adaptors, and docks for the creative or zune, ad certainly not the depth of choice you can get for the apple.
I've also said it many times on here, but you can't beat the ipod and bose sounddock...
Sounds good - have got a small dent on the back edge of the drivers door on the 182 that I want to get sorted, will give him a call when I get the chance... Just need to sort out the PAS leak and MOT on the LCR - expensive couple of months - just had to put a pair of tyres each on both the leon...
I'd just copy over your whole itunes music folder - should do the trick... Certainly worked here when I had to move mine to external HD due to lack of space...
I haven't read the full thread - but I would expect that there's a fair gap between manufacturing cost and the cost to actually bring something like this to market - there will be a hell of a lot of cost involved in R&D, marketing etc that isn't taken into account by merely adding up the rice of...
Will be fine - I develop oil for a living, and as long as the vis grade is close enough you'll be fine - it's more important to make sure it's formulated in decent quality (full synthetic or decent semi-synth (hydrocracked) base oil, with plenty of decent industry approvals (the newer VAG and MB...
interesting - I spotted that Game in Derby had them in stock yesterday, but were only selling with a 3-game bundle for nigh-on £300, and not on it's own! Nice way to try and increase margins, but the one guy I saw that they had got one out for decided that he couldn't find three games he wanted...
I've got the Bose one - it's not cheap but is superb... rather than just a set of speakers to listen to your ipod on, it's good enough to replace your stereo...
The Apple one isn't bad either - it's good with dance music in particular. It just doesn't quite have the depth of sound quality that...
