Only other thing to check is locking wheel nuts - most imports don't have them... about £30 quid from either Renault, or McGard (as recommended by many...)
I'm amazed how our 182 loves V-power (or I've suddenly grown a helium filled right foot) - on the last tank (which admittedly had lots of motorway) showing an average of 38.6mpg, compared to more usual 36 on motorway and 30-33ish average... Will wait and see if this is a freak, or if it continues...
Will agree with this still loving the 182 after almost 2 years of fun now - it's still great fun every time you get in it.
I was especially impressed coming home late on friday night when I destroyed a Mk 4 Astra GSi turbo on a blast up an uphill d/c stretch... had expected it to be quite...
Good to hear they've been found (I was looking at every car nearby when I was out earlier hoping i'd spot them for you!) - were they still nearby?
Hope they're not damaged... or, if they are, that the thieving scum got damaged in the process!
I'm over in Belper (wife teaches in Langley Mill), so will keep an eye out for you. Probably heading into Nottingham later, so will keep an eye out for you...
As said above, hope they get what they deserve...
I have to say that owning both the 182 and LCR that it doesn't *feel* as though there's much between them at all, and I would actually say that the 182 feels the quicker of the two (both standard, except an exhaust on the clio), however that may well be down to the raw nature of the 182. I would...
Can't believe Renault can justify £130 for a tiny bit of plastic really - I've just bought an LCR to go with the 182, and need a new splitter as mine is a bit scuffed (it's pretty vulnerable).
Had been worried that it may be pricey with the VAG reputation for costs, but it is in fact only £16...
Our 182 had that replaced 4 times under warranty in the first 1000 miles! (and it didn't get rid of the lights - until I took it to another dealer and they reset the ECU and cleared it straight away...)
Give firebond a call - have been the best for me with my 205GTi, and can cover mods. They also seem to have reasonably knowledgable staff, who are keen to help out...
Have had the same problems with the 182 though - it only has an exhaust on, and every company I called wanted at least £650+ (a...
I bought a TT1 in currys the other day, and they had loads of ext aerials in stock (Fosse park Leicester) but £50. Might be worth taking a look on pocketgpsworld - they may have links to some beter prices than the high street? Failing that fleabay?
That'll be Parksafe in Derby - great place, always park mine in there, and is apparently one of the 10 most secure places on earth, so might just do for the clio:approve:!!!
Same here, been ringing round for the 182 today - direct line renewal £460 (with exhaust declared). greenlight were nearest at "over £550"...
Everyone else was over £600....
Cheers for that Chris - was in Autozone last night - might well nip to the nearest harley dealer for some of the S100 wax, as I don't have a good wax....
Got some Megs QD and leather cleaner/conditioner and a couple of microfibres last night...
Rich - tried to get some #21 from the megs pro...
Cheers for the suggestions Rich, unfortunately I leave on Friday - so not really got time to get stuff posted.
Think I'll just try to get plenty of odds and ends (need some QD etc), and look out for some cloths and pads...
I am currently in the US on business, and am planning on picking up some cleaning products while I'm over here. So far I have bought some Megs #80 and #83, having searched for the local megs professional dealer. Will also pop into Wal Mart and get some other megs bits when I'm next passing.
I...
Gave my PC a first go this weekend too on my black escort estate. Just used AG SRP as a starter (i failed to order anything better too!) and it's come up a treat. The black is shining quite nicely, and the flake in the metallic is showing up better than it has for a long time! Was surprised at...
I've been spending too... hoping mine will arrive by the weekend - I went for the SFX pads - just realised I bought a spare set of pads too, should really have gone for one of each...
do some searching and find yourself DVD shrink and DVD decrypter... might be tricky to find, but will do just what you want... (afraid I don't have the install files handy...)
Bought my system for the 182 second hand off here and fitted myself - must say the build and fit of the system is great - can't fault Charlie's workmanship...
Also when mine was blowing, I called Charlie up, and he popped a new clamp in the post - great service too!
Will definitely vouch for the noise levels - I've got a 2.5" pro-speed, and although I'm now used to it, motorway cruising can get a bit tiresome!!!!
Still not fitted the de-cat either....
What about Kumho's special tyres for the drift market - they had them at MPH '05 when Tiff and Clarkson were doing car sumo... Red tyre smoke! (probably more suited to the crooz scene then!)
Nice one - you won't regret it!
Get buying your cleaning supplies now though - Black Gold is an awesome colour when it's clean - but annoys the hell out of you when it isn't!
Get it polished and sat in the sunlight though, and it's amazing - as you can see from r-jay's avatar!
