    Direct line.......What a joke!

costs me about £80/year to declare the prospeed (non-decatted) on the 182 with D/L - but when I rang round last time, they were still a good £300 below anywhere else (a lot of places wouldn't quote - which is ridiculous!). Car is actually the wifes, all in her name, but we're both 29 with a load...

Impreza P1. Post pics of your car...

Well, since this thread seems to be back, I'll join in... The 182 & LCR The Pug (track day motor) Also have a project mini, which looks a bit like this (bought it in 1993, and still not quite finished - really must get cracking!):

    Shop my Wheels (LCR)

Thanks for the ideas guys - had thought of both white and black - but have seen pics of an LCR with white rims, and it looked a bit wrong, just too bright, and would be a pain once they've got some brake dust on them... There's also a few over on SCN with black rims, which I am not too keen on...

    Shop my Wheels (LCR)

Thanks Fred - That sounds great to me, and I think trophy grey will be great, I was after something with a bit of shine in the finish, as I think the main problem at the minute is that they are a really dull, flat finish. Is there any chance of getting them done next Friday?

    Shop my Wheels (LCR)

Hi all, I have just had a spare wheel for the LCR delivered (mine was AWOL), which could do with some attention, and the rest of the rims are desperate for sorting out - so I'm keen to get them refurbed ASAP (any luck with sorting me a price, Fred?). The dilemma I have is that as standard...

    Used Exaltos?

There will be a market soon - Michelin don't seem to be able to supply any of the damn things - I've been waiting for a pair from costco for 8 weeks, and had a call today to tell me that they're still on back order for at least 4-6 weeks more!!!! Think I'm going to be getting a pair of something...

    NEED HELP! Glowing cat?

    Are you a *****? (pic)

Best one I've eve seen was 10 or so years ago on an old yugo - 4 COF (think about it...) Must be worth a quid or two... Also knew of a guy who had DR W117Y (Dr Willy!) be a good one to park outside the local clinic!

I want a Blackberry but i wont use it for emails ?

I have to say - I wouldn't bother. I have one for work (can't remember model, but one of the new ones that's more like a normal phone) but apart from being able to do e-mail it's pretty rubbish... I'd get a decent nokia/SE phone instead...

    1.2 16V to 172 conversion questions

Wow Fred, you don't mess around - looks like you're making some rapid progress there! Hope the wiring goes ok - never enjoyed that side of things myself either! Are you keeping it looking as it was outside? (with the green rims?) or is there going to be a new look to go with the new engine...

Nanolub Solid Lubricant - A Miracle?

    Plate removal

Just remember once you've put the velcro'd plates on, not to wash your car straight after - the adhesive takes some time to bond, and doesn't like water during that time... As I discovered when both my plates fell off :o. Thankfully I dried them off and slapped them back in place and they stuck...

182, civic type r or seat leon cupra r

Sounds reasonable to me - for a long motorway journey I'd choose the LCR (if only it had cruise, which I intend to sort out very soon...), but for a B-road blast it would be the clio... will see if I say the same once I get round to adding a dose of Revo to the Leon.. Neither is a bad car - just...

182, civic type r or seat leon cupra r

I've got both an LCR and the 182, and it really depends what you want from a car as to which I would choose... If you want more space, a solid feel and the potential for cheap power then choose the LCR. As mentioned above though, the ride is pretty shocking when you hit a pothole especially...

Was sorry to hear about your dissappearing, especially as you're local. Good to hear it's at least back where it belongs, and in good nick! Look out for a...

I'd say it pretty much lines up like this: iPod shuffle: Amazing portability, but no screen. good if you want some music that's portable, but don't want to pay a lot or have to lug around a big heavy lump. New Plates-- GB flag or not???

Plain for me - did have euro plates when I had my p/plate on the escort, and have swapped to totally plain plates when I swapped it to the LCR, trimmed them to about 30mm longer than the reg number at each end - looks so much cleaner and tidier now..
