Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

People get hung up and convince themselves they need spine snapping suspension for a car to handle. A fast circuit car doesn’t make a fast road car,and I get the impression many convince themselves that they will spend a life on circuit with the occasional road drive. In reality they spend a...

    Jekyll's RB182 Progress Thread

I’ve had an expensive time on mine this week... but I’ll be doing the GRP N & mapping too. I spent a few days in Alex’s RB which is mapped and was hooked. The response is night and day from a OEM calibration car.

    Jekyll's RB182 Progress Thread

Selling it for something that’s a significant step up would be understandable. Hard to do but understandable. But to sell it for another Clio would be bonkers... even a Trophy wouldn’t come close IMO. You’ve done/fixed/refurbished/improved every area that funds have so far allowed. So unless...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

So recently I had found the beginnings of some corrosion on a couple of areas of the car. The worst of which was what I considered significant bubbling around the fuel door hinge. Also some micro blisters were also starting to show where the rear bumper meets the steel arch and under the...

You’ll be surprised. Porsche parts have often surprised me with how reasonably priced a lot of stuff is.

I don’t know what to reply to this as I’m currently in mourning at the possible loss of the RB. 😢

    Renault discontinuing parts

Isnt this wheel base difference due to the fact the 172 Cups & 182s run the offset bottom ball joint to increase the static caster. Therefore marginally adding to the wheelbase?

Clio 2 rear coilover or separate damper/spring

Depends who you're marketing the damper at. Is it at someone who wants a high end adjustable damper designed for their own intended purpose or for the lads who just want their car slammed?

    Modifications

Modify the driver with some tuition. That will make you faster than any other modification on that car. The beauty part is, you can take that modification to every car you step in. :)

PMS topmounts - Do they rattle/knock?

Only really interested in the PMS ones as they have a specific brace that attaches to them. Thanks. 🙂

PMS topmounts - Do they rattle/knock?

Quick question guys. Those of you running the PMS topmounts/strut brace setup. Do they rattle at all? Increased NVH? I’ve had numerous spherical bearing topmounts on cars, some high end and silent for years. Others rattle and knock from day one due to poor bearings/design. So got binned...

    Can Anyone Help . . . . . . . . . PLEEEEEEASE

If you're still having no luck Marc, what about having its repaired and reskinned in carbon? Would be stronger and still have the aesthetic appeal you're looking for?

    The Petrol Blue Project continued

I think i must be the only one who doesn't get a boner over the colour, it really doesn't do anything for me personally. However, it does look a lovely example and wishing you well to enjoy using it. :)

Yes, also as i've found out. The Pagid ones are too short and do not fit. I used a part from Borg & Beck which was very good quality and only £15. Borg & Beck part number BKB3049
