The ds1.11s got too much on the road and were squealing properly bad. @NickReilly063 can confirm how loud they were 😂
I managed to pick up a set of brembo oem pads for £28 so threw those into the calipers. Can see the metallic shine in the ferodo pads when the sun hits them which is why they'll...
Don't your ds1.11s squeal really bad on the roads @Brigsy ? I have them in my brembos and the squeal is horrendous. Everyone's looking when I stop in traffic 🤣
You want to run one or the other. Using camber bolts in an elongated hole does not work as the hole is obviously bigger than the cam.
If using a hunter alignment kit it takes into account the position when the wheels are off the ground. This allows you to adjust camber and sit it back down and...
Yours looks worse than mine did 🤣
Go nissens or genuine, both are equally as good imho.
May aswell man maths it and do silicone hoses whilst there 😶🌫️
Bleeding is also easy, just squeeze all the hoses and leave cap off coolant bottle.
I'd leave it then. If the bottom of your radiator looks like this I'd be swapping them but it's rare you can replace one without the other.
Your condenser failing and losing AC is fine, but your radiator failing and losing coolant isn't so fine.
If the radiator is fucked the condenser is also likely fucked. I doubt you'll be able to free the radiator without destroying the cage fittings on the condenser
I'm with ID on an s22 contract. Pay £30/month for unltd calls texts and 100gb data. Not had too many issues, 5g is sometimes slow to get started but usually OK once on.
These will open too far. He wants shorter ones.
These are the ones I got and they're perfect 5 years later. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115058304633?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=gh8kWA45RTq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=FV1hdbrvQTK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
This was sitting around the base of the threads. Annoying as I was so careful to keep them clean whilst bleeding etc.
New ones still appear to be fine so it must just be the stainless fittings. Word of warning for others I guess!
They appear to be OK for now. I'll let everyone know tomorrow when I've driven into a wall. Just self bleeding calipers 🥴
Went outside and hosed off the calipers and wheels just to make sure no fluid is sticking around.
Going to buy more brake fluid in preparation for this weekend and get the...
I said the same thing to Kyle when I was struggling to get the abs pump lines to seal. Tightening loosening then tightening seemed to help on these. f**k knows why the stainless nips didn't seal as they're genuine HEL, were very tight and also weren't leaking overnight.
Hopefully the others...
They're leaking from the threads. New ones appear to be OK so far. So frustrating after all that work! Ahh well, better to just let it be as i can't go back now. Should have just powdercoated the calipers...
And yeah I have a pressure bleeder but will try that next weekend when I have more...
I spoke too soon.
Zoomed in on this photo and I saw the telltale marks of dripping fluid.
Rushed out and both f**king bleed nipples on both calipers have leaked. I've no idea why, they're genuine HEL stainless items and I did them properly tight.
Now both calipers have a run line on them...
Woke up and didn't find any leaks! The unions on the top of the abs pump looked moist but I think it was just condensation as I dried it up and it didn't return.
Had to spend the day with the Mrs as its her birthday but once I got home I set to finishing up all the loose ends from yesterday...
Fitment is toight.
Thankfully no fluid leaked so I'll be finishing up bleeding again today. Going to do some braking on the axle stands to trigger abs and move any air out the pump too
