Cheers for the links folks. I just got the stuff I needed from my local Halfords in the end. Started to build a box this morning. So far I have covered the inside of the arch with masking tape and have put 1 full layer of fibreglass in. Its not as difficult as I thought it would be. I will get...
Has anybody got any links to some guides for fibreglassing as I want to have a go as soon as I shift my old ICE. Anybody know any good places to purchase fibreglass from?

youll need the wings too or at least a good body kit to go with it as the sports have wider arches and are flaird out by quite a lot more than the standard... unless you like the "stuck on" look that is
And the skirts too

the last one is nice... even though it wont fit... itll fit mine nicely, think ill order those if new car ever turns up at garage... :(
As Ive already said, those last ones will fit a ph1 as there is no difference!!!
mk2 ph1 and 2 skirts are exactly the same, the only ones that wont fit are ones designed for a 172 as the arches are different. Dont like any of them , get either the 172 style skirts or koncept skirts.

I dont think it looks like a 172, but thats not a bad thing, it still looks good to me. If you didnt have the 172 badges you wouldnt have had as many bad comments IMHO cus its not ott, pretty subtle really, especially compared to many kitted cars.
Gets a thumbs up from me though :D...
This is the only pic i can find at the min, not very good but you can see how they fill the existing space >

Yep, had to make them about an inch think to clear the window but they did have pretty beefy magnets. Tweeters were a perfect fit in the OE positions which was a bonus too.

Go for one of the Alpine ipod head units....Halfords are doing them for £289 fitted with the adaptor.
Do you know what model this Alpine is and if its the interactive ipod link?
No probs it took me ages to figure out what wires were for which speakers. Renault had the clever idea of making the front and rear speaker wires the same colour  I just had to keep trying them till I found the correct ones.
The black rubber thing is what you need to remove the doors for to get access to it. On the back of the headunit where the outputs are fed to the speakers, you need to cut these and attach the feeds from the amp, so the connections out of the headunit are no longer connected to anything and just...
If you are already running a powerlead to the boot just get a distribution block to split the power between the 2 amps, thats what I have done and it works just fine. Ive gota mk2 ph1 too and swear that the grommet everyone talks about isnt there on mine, I had to drill in the footwell too...

my pioneer links to an ipod and controls all its functions and displays track info and id3 tags etc etc
What Pioneer is that? Have you got the product code please?
What would everyone recommend as to which headunit to get to link with my Ipod? I would prefer an Alpine unit cus of their quality, but also the fact that I can get the extra control unit to control the Ipod from my headunit. I would consider other stereos though. Has anybody had any experience...
