Cheers guys, I sorted it out by running it from the iso which was a pain cus the front and rear wires were the same colour  Would have preffered to run all new wire through but I couldnt get in a position to drill the block without taking the doors off.
Im finally getting everything fitted today. I have mounted the crossovers and replaced the tweeters but I need to run wires from the crossovers (mounted under the glove box) through to the speakers in the doors. How do I feed them through? Ive had a look where the other wires come through but...
Cheers for the comments everyone

I dont mind taking the top dash off, Ive already done it before, looks like Ill have to do it anyway cus the covers dont twist off on mine as its a ph1.
The only way of doing it without mdf is to remove the speaker reccess behind the door card (which would mean that the speakers will prob foul on the window) or to get these slimline speakers that some companies now offer.
Ive just fitted some 6.5s but its not straight forward. You need to make some mdf spacers, about 1inch deep. They are a very snug fit though. Her is a couple of pics so you can compare 5.25s and 6.5s:

To disconnect my tweeters am I able to just disconnect the wires on the ISO (if yes, then what colour are the wires?) or will I need to remove the top dash to physically remove them? This is in a mk2 ph1 btw. Im not planning on mounting the new tweeters in the factory positions so I would prefer...

Hoping to build some door pods for them, has anyone done this and has got any pics/advise?
Quick question, is there any reason why you wouldnt be able to use power cable for grounding an amp? Is the red and black purely to do with colour co-ordination?
Yep, admiral are who I am with, think they allow for 6 mods up the age of 25 and they dont charge much for mods, but they will only replace with oem parts
Genesis Audiophile 16 or JL-VR600CS ???
I havent really heard much about the JLs. I know the Genesis are great quality and prob what I will go for, but a mate has been advised on the JLs. Anyone had experience of both?
Cheers
Matt
How many are there? Cant make it out on the picture. Was it just a case of heating up the solder to remove the old ones? Where did you get your new ones from and got any pics of the dials with the leds lit up?
