polcarb into the cut-down sunroof frame looks far tidier IMO, hence why I have it on mine too. I think the bolted/riveted plates over sunroof holes look tacky and cheap - yeah its a track car but meh!
If I wanted rid of the sunroof I would just go to the effort of swapping the roofskin...
Yeah, but its like half the thickness and not as wide, plus the 172 radiator fan wont fit onto it as far as I know, its the wrong shape. 172 does not use the coolant temp switch like the valver rad, and has a different wiring setup - it could be made to work but its easier to just drop the 172...
JB5 089 will top out at 158mph GPS @ 7200rpm, or 165mph GPS @ 7500 (RSTuner map or raised limiter etc etc), assuming the standard Ph1 50/15 tyres are used. If they are 45/16's couple of mph more on each figure.
Does sound very much like immobiliser, I had the same sort of problem. Injectors wont fire nor will the coilpack if its active. Although it could be a number of other things too. I thought it cant be the immobiliser (as my ECU was decoded) but it was.
Whats the red light doing in the middle of...
Ive used the Kumho V70's before in 205/50/15, seemed to have very stiff sidewalls but once they had some heat into them they were brilliant
£125/tyre in your size though!
I got a group of people totalling an order of 36 tyres in 195/50, went to Camskill asking what price they could do and they would not even budge - absolute joke!
Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]

I dont know the other Marks surname, or I would have used it!

Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
Yeah, checked that before deciding to drill the bulkhead and go through with it, just fits. Plenty of room behind the motor too, around 4 inches, so enough space to put a bar between them both as a brace..
Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
Upto much friday early evening wilky? Im not upto much if you're free il come down with the timing tools etc...

Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
I think the previous ones have only cracked due to flex in the chassis around the cage, hopefully the gussets will tie everything together enough to keep it in one piece. If I have to buy another windscreen after this one im not going to be...
Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
Right then... plenty done, few more bits and pieces to weld, mainly blanking plates for the strut bars etc and a strut brace across inside the scuttle area. Those will probably be finished by the end of the week and then I can get it back...
The image shows it coming with both clips, the grease and the boot, so it should...
Dialogys says its for driveshafts that are 90mm at the widest part, which is the end of the boot that goes over the CV part of the driveshaft. Measure yours, if its 90mm, the one they have got is correct.
