looks like lots of answers here then. Ill get it up in the air at the weekend and check all the earth straps, see if thats the problem. It hasnt done it at all today either.
BTW Koivis, I was pretty sure the ECU runs the fuel/ignition map by a combination of MAP reading, inlet temperature and...
If someone else was paying I would have the V6 just cos its expensive and has a lot of toys. But realistically out of that lot, the Willy would take pride of place for me. It will always be a classic hot hatch that no-one can mistake.
Well Im one of the people whos kept up with a Scooby, an RB5 and my driveshaft was hanging out and the gearbox full of bearings! Mine is ever so slightly modded though. I would have thought I could overhaul a Scooby at any speed with the way my Clio is going at the moment.
But a Scooby is a...
My advice is if you dont like rattles, dont buy a Renault. The rattles are actually designed in at the very earliest stages of each Renault concept car. Various methods of achieving rattles, squeaks and clunks are used, mainly being the use of the cheapest plastic you can get and not tightening...

Well its not done it today either. I did think of the ignition coil mods that Ive got but by my thinking, theyve been on for a couple of months now and not a single glitch, so it cant really be them. then suddenly yesterday after a long cruise down the A1, it was cutting occasionally. It was...
Yeah nice spec, it sounds like you done a proper job on it, not some half arsed bodge. Plus double bonus points for being a sleeper as well. Stealth rules!
An interesting proposition Joe...if I could have everything I wanted in one box it would be:
adjustable start power from 10-100%
rise time adjustable from 1-10 seconds
gearchange reset
connection to coil to control ignition r****d and full throttle gearchange (including momentary...
BTW I wont be able to do another trip up North again this year, costs me too much, but I might do another Santa Pod or North Weald date in the next month or so, maybe even Avon Park? I havent been there for a while. In fact scratch Santa Pod unless everyone else wants to go for it. The place...
sounds like everyone had a great time and just like many people on this thread who were actually there on the day, Im fed up with having boring arguments about boring stuff.
Looks like everyones gonna be busy modding over the winter, ready to roll next season! Tim - I definitely gotta race you...

I know someone had this same problem a month or two ago but I cant remember who. Anyway it just started happening as I was on my way down from York tonight. At first I thought it was my imagination or Id gone over a bump in the road, but what happened was just for an instant the engine missed a...
Yeah thats the plan for next season John. EIther that or the 2.0 bottom end. Im planning my assault on the 13s already. Most likely setup for next year will be 2.0 power with the direct port injection that I was already thinking of plus maybe going up to 125 jets. The carbon airbox should be...
BTW I missed a few people today I think...Rhys, Dai, Raiderman? Sorry, I had to hit the road at about half one to get back to town!
So what was everyones best times today then (and terminal speeds)? It was a top day out and a top evening out in York the night before, many thanks to everyone...
Who would have thought you couldnt even post your times from today without people having to start arguing about it the York timing gear already...I give up, I really do.
I think I can say with some confidence (as a seasoned quarter miler with experience of every dragstrip in England) that...

Magnex are the only ones to my knowledge who make a cat-like decat pipe. Except its in tasty stainless.
The law is that the car must pass the emissions test at MOT time and its assumed that in the remaining year the emissions dont change significantly until the next test. Once you start...
It wont go straight in to a Mk2, a lot of messing about. Itll drop straight into a valver though, the classic engine swap there.
Put it up for between £500 and £1000 depending on full history and someone with a 16v will take it off you pretty quick. Not more than a grand, for that youd be...
