No, for me the Lotus Carlton has to be the ultimate sleeper. OK everyone in the know will recognise that monster as it comes up behind you on the motorway...and you move over sharpish! But I bet you more than 95% of the motoring public wouldnt have a clue, theyd think it was a crappy boring...
Slayer - glad to hear youve stuck around...and as you well know Ive already called you out on numerous occasions but youve never wanted a meeting...so carry on talking and Ill carry on banging in the real results. You know my email if you want to take me up on the offer I made you a long time...
I know some of it...traction control, rammed Pipercross Viper (oooops sorry in advance to Capt Slarty, that must be just a total coincidence that the fastest 172 is running ram-air ;)), rear stripped out, chipped (I think?) - nice solid mods.
But anyway Tim, look on it as an opportunity to...
Yeah in proper drag classes reaction is important. In normal RWYB where youre just after the time and speed, Ive found that the most crucial benchmark is the 60ft time. When I first started I used to ignore the other data and just look at the ET. But this year Ive paid very close attention to...
Mate you can do it without taking the battery off. As long as you dont mind skinning your knuckles!
It is a hassle but it can be done, Ive got it down to a 5 minute job.
OK some interesting points Joe, but I still dont agree with you that the chart applies to the whole range. It says it applies to the majority of the range, and thats not good enough for me. If Renault send me out a booklet which says forget what your original manufacturers handbook says and...
Sylvia - no need to explain mate, I knew exactly what you meant, just others on the thread seemed to be picking up that comment of yours and taking it to mean something else. Just my impression anyway. And BTW I dont know who called yours a shopping car cos it werent me.
IMHO people can buy...
hehe talking of Porsches I was doing the shopping last night and a 911 was behind me going into the car park. I parked up and clocked it as it went into the opposite space and it was mental - a GT3 or GT2, I cant remember what all the different models are - it was like a normal new 911 but just...
Wicked mate, I still chuckle to myself thinking of your devious ways of getting those photos at Donny South!
The Southend pics are the nuts mate. I love that one with us all parked at the side of the road trying to make sure everyones there...for those of you who couldnt make that particular...

Maybe you should read it yourself Joe. The only reference to the F7P and F7R engine is that they an *exception* to whatever specification that is there.
Theres not a question of not accepting ACEA or manufacturers figures Joe - the simple fact is that I dont understand what ACEA figures mean...
First off, I have had a set of blue Autostyle mats with yellow piping and the yellow 16v logo on, since last year, and they are quality. Just expensive though.
The idea of Cliosport mats is a good one, whoevers started the ball rolling on this, can you email me...

AFAIK, no there dont have to be two policemen to do you. But if theres only one and you take it to court, theres not a lot of evidence which couldnt be turned over.
Hence most of the time if its only a single officer then youll get a warning. If its two your in more trouble because they can...
Im with you on this one Brun. These ACEA ratings or whatever they are mean nothing to me. Nor is that chart representative of a Clio 16v, because it is applied to Renaults current range. It says so at the top. A valver is a ten year old design. Maybe we should be looking at oils specced for...
I think you should forget both and go for the ultimate stealth weapon - I saw a Lotus Carlton for 20k in the back of Revs this month. And please dont anyone get into an argument about its handling. I know.
Dash you cant be serious mate, Ive never even driven a 172 let along a V6! Although if you really want me to I think I could manage a quick blast up the quarter and your clutch is guaranteed not to get a hammering - I never sidestep it, just feed in the power.
Ben - exactly! My Clio is never...
Yeah my Toyos are good in the dry, they grip and grip...but with a few thousand miles wear on them, they are becoming nasty in the wet. Very different from my old Goodyear Eagles which were superb throughout their life.
