Due to a new car coming (subject to confirmation of build date this week) my Fiesta ST MR230 will be for sale very very soon.
If anyone is interested please make sure you come and have a look over it this weekend...I'll be at SRR for most, if not all, of the day.
This is what seemed to fix ALL of the issues we were having...it's been surprisingly stable and reliable ever since.
I think this is exactly what they're doing...it's absolute BS though.
That's not quite so.
I have BT broadband and home hub, Sky Q main 4k 2TB box, two minis, and many many many weeks now without a hard reset on any of them.
I agree, regardless of pedal positions rotating for me feels much much better on track as you have and can get a much firmer press onto the brake pedal...and it just feels right.
Like I said, day to day, gentle braking, rolling off works well enough...but it doesn't feel natural if trying to...
Point taken, completely! The thing is, it's a big subject, there are many things to consider, many things to work on, many things that can wrong, and many things that can make learning it harder or even impossible.
There are also many videos out there that show you how to do it, but they ALL...
Following my previous thread on basic rev matching, and following a solid week of editing, I've come up with to help anyone wanting to move on to trying heel and toe downshifting. Give it a go!
Part 1 - basic rev matching...
Is the SD card right for the GoPro?
They are very specific about the spec and make.
When I first got my Session I bought a quality branded card for it...but it kept randomly freezing mid recording and would get really hot to the touch.
A search on GoPro's website showed a list of specific...
I now have a build date for my FRS so I need to start thinking about moving my ST on.
I have a few options available...but no idea on price!
I see standard cars at anything from £8k to £10k for a 13 plate with 60k miles.
Mine has Mountune MR230, one owner, full Ford history, very very well...
I recently had this dilemma and ended up with one of these...

From what I understand OLED means the screen is kind of like a mobile phone and...
In terms of locking the driven wheels absolutely it is...but in terms of just keeping the car balanced and stable it's equally important regardless of the driven wheels.
I really should get myself something RWD at some point in my life...that'll be a way off though as I have several years of...
So very true. Generally I don't do it on the road as I tend to separate braking and down shifting hence the focus on basic rev matching which also has the added benefit of getting the timing of it into your head before attempting the tricky H&T shifts.
After many questions on how to do this I thought it best to make a video tutorial.
If you've tried it and given up...try again...you may well have missed out this very important first step!
Touchy!
It's not about being bugged on a trackday, it's about getting your hands filthy and then smearing it all over the inside of the car/steering wheel/leg of your trousers! There's a handle on the inside so you don't have to do that.
The difference is less involvement, not for me.
Looks great though. Please shoot whoever doesn't shut the boot properly...I get properly OCD about fingerprints like that!
Is it really a ball ache in a daily? Really?
It is no more physically taxing than steering or pressing the brake/throttle!
As for NA > forced induction...for a spirited drive, a-f***ing-men.
Will you say that when cars steer, accelerate, and brake for themselves too?
To me driving is a joy and the more I can be involved in the art of it, the more I have to work at it, the more enjoyment I get out of it.
I'm the complete opposite to yourself...to me, having a car change gear...
Not at all. They have a high-grip coating so I can keep a really light touch on the wheel. They're really tight fitting...but look huge due to the external seams.
This was filmed last July...and is my first attempt at rendering something in 4K. I have a couple of 4K cameras so will shoot something in UHD soon but, for now, this is just a test using 4x 1080 angles all pulled together.
Even though I say it myself...it looks fantastic on my great big...
I completely understand this...changing gear? Why would you want to do that when an ECU can do it for you more?
Taking that point another step forward...driving a car? Why would you want to do that when an ECU can do it for you?
The autonomous car is almost here...will we defend that as much...
It's a gearbox thing for me; I don't need to drive it to know I am not going to like it. If I can't get my left hand and left leg involved I'm not interested.
Some other manufacturers have realised this and are offering manual gearboxes on previously auto-only cars. Renault should follow suit...
Mine's the same, 3rd gear, any speed, nil traction. 4th gear goes too with the tiniest steering input.
The roads at the moment are useless.
As for the 5k issue...can that be overcome or is it something they're stuck with? My ST is quite revvy up top which I'm glad about!
These engines are a little different. they can start just fine, idle just fine, drive just fine, feel just fine, but it'll be putting out 150bhp instead of 180bhp because someone who's done cambelts on other cars said "I'll do it, I've done loads before, how hard can it be"?
