Well like I said the other night Ben, were going for the big showdown at York in October; its just as far for me as it is for you, but its a well mellow atmosphere at York and a good strip surface. Of course you have to be capable of sub-15 second runs to go home with your head held high...
yeah you better come every time Mel, you had us cracking up mate. Ill bring a coat hanger next time. I reckon my delocking plans might be on ice for a while now!
your car isnt lowered is it? If its too low at the back and then you accelerate and it squats this might affect the brake bias valve thingy and somehow make the handbrake light come on?
Ben if you wanted switches you should have mentioned it the other night...I had four of them in the glovebox! 3 up/down window switches (not one-touch) and one sunroof switch (its not illuminated like the window switches. You can have the lot for a tenner including the postage recorded delivery...
Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
I cant take any more Ecotek talk. Just try it. Fit the thing, decide whether you like it, if you dont they will take it back no questions asked, honestly. Make your own mind up about it...
Yeah Im very interested in that - and Dartfords not too far from me. If he can do a full respray for £600, then he must be able to smooth and delock it with a respray for a grand.
Great results everyone, btw Tim and others...you cant compare results from different roads. All it does is highlight the inaccuracies in them. The good thing is that you *can* compare results with others on the same rr, on the same day and get an idea of where you stand.
Big thanks to you Bill for organising this one, its quite fun not having to sort it out myself; I could get used to this!
Dont worry about FC wussing out - they were probably at home in front of the telly with a can of lager as usual. The main reason for the meet was really just for everyone...

Ray, Nigels right that it can be done by dropping the subframe out, but with a job like youre doing, the best way by far is to take the whole assembly out through the bonnet with a hoist. And it definitely will come out.
Think about it this way - which would you prefer, working under the car...
Cheers Dave thats what I was thinking...I knew it wasnt just a couple of coils in there and thought there would be diodes in to chop the waveform to turn it into DC. Needed you to confirm it though, so cheers!
Where can you get an inverter for a tenner then?
Well Ben R would seeing as thats closer to him...
BB and K-Tec are both respected 5 tuners and both have moved over to doing Clios. Plus Cliosport members get a discount with both.
The amount of power increase you get varies from one car to another. you cant really compare them, its all down to the inlet and head design. when its a 50hp jetting thats just a nominal figure. I can tell you that 60 jets in my Clio made it nice and quick and 100s even quicker.
Power has...
Dont get too carried away by nitrous power; yes it will help you get to top speed quicker, and it *can* give you a higher top speed, due to the sheer grunt that you will still have at 130mph+. You will need it to overcome drag which is the major factor once you hit 125. Im running a 16v lump...
Ben - look closely and it says fastest 16v, not fastest Clio. Mats is now a 2.0 so it holds the 2.0/Williams record. Watch this space though. The overall Clio title will be mine...all mine.

I should know this but I cant remember how exactly it works, so before I break out the multimeter and crack open the casing, maybe someone out there, a sparky or engineer can help me out!
I need to run a mains powered heater in the back of my car. Its got a very low current draw (its a...
Yeah it looks pretty daunting Ray, but its like Lego. Its definitely best to lift the whole lot together and separate the box and lump on the garage floor.
