When I tested one the 197 was quicker round Brands Hatch than my 182, however thats probably due to the handling and chassis. I know what you mean about acceleration, but I found the exit speed to be quicker out of corners so that made up for it.
Would I change mine for one? Nah, I don't...
Yeah the 182 only had zaust, filter and carbon wotsit removed (front end aero mods are now put back to standard too ;))... the 172 had a few more bits done. I dont count painting badges as mods. Its not how many or what the mods are though, its the hassle-free feeling you get from driving a...
My old 172 is a good example. I tried 4 different springs on that, and with the Eibach Pro's it was hugely enjoyable on track and on backroads. However before selling it when it had standard suspension, it was equally as enjoyable but for different reasons. The character of the car changed a lot...

I've been saying this since day 1. Granted they look great but there are MUCH better seats out there at a cheaper price. I would go as far to say I find my standard seats support me better on track than the Trendlines in the Trophy.
But, I guess everyone's shaped differently so will have...
Well, Renault sure messed up there. If loads of members on a ClioSport enthusiast website don't like it... they have no chance! We make up a large portion of their target audience, and so far not 1 person likes it.
Bad times, Renault.
