Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
yeah, well the outlet is 2.5", which is the same size as the inlets on the 172 airbox, so it will do the job for now :approve:

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Spent some more time on the car this evening.
The car has needed some ducts in the fog light holes to tidy it up for some time, but ive just never got round to it. Demon tweeks sell a 6" x 3" duct that near enough fits with a bit of modification (Coops has...

As said....172 engine/172 front track/lots of weight saved, thats about it!
there is no requirement for heaters as far as I know, its definitely not in the MOT anyway. Weather there is a 'law' for it is another matter, ive never had a problem on the many occasions ive been stopped...
Why would you need to faff still sat in the seat, it takes 30 seconds to safely pull...
I dont see it as a problem, its too much of a handful in the wet anyway. Easy solution, keep the screen clean, and use a cloth to wipe the screen IF it steams up, which it has yet to do. Or you just buy a heated front screen for £200.
Ive only been using it as a daily over summer, hence why its...
