Looks like the red ball has cracked.
The kit I linked to is correct for the megane and the clio. Basically a black rubber insert (red if yanoo like yours) fits tightly around the shaft, then the white plastic ball clips around this. After that the black rubber housing contains the ball with...
So a bit higher up, within the gearbox surround is a circlip you have to remove. You can then pull the whole rod out of the housing to get better access to the spring clip.
Use a small punch, although a screwdriver will do to hammer out the spring pin.
Unfortunately you can't get those boots...
Took a trip over to the tyre fitters today and got the ad08r's on.
Photo showing how they're basically new and all showing 6.7-7mm tread.
Got all 4 fitted for £20 so cant grumble at that! Washed the car today and thankfully theres no damage to the alloy anywhere. Certainly makes a change as...
Just shove purple on it. Wont notice the difference on the dogbone alone. I run full black series bushes everywhere on a road car with a race evol mount but used to run the purple dogbone and was fine
What im thinking is for 1 set of rears I get through 2 sets of fronts.
So if I fit the 4 tyres, I'll end up wearing the fronts down and the rears will be on 4mm. I can then fit the 4mm tyres I removed onto the front?
I hate getting tyres changed.
Picked up a set of the original AD08R. 2 are unused and the other 2 were used once in the wet before being removed.
Unsure on what to do fitment wise. Current fronts are on the limit and rears on 3.5-4mm treas.
Either just replace the pair on the limit, or fit the 4 all round and keep the rears...
Could be the cog has split and not engaging properly that's between the motor under the drivers side.
Plenty of threads on it, I did mine right at the beginning of ownership. It's on my thread if required although im sure there's a guide somewhere.
Great thread mate and welcome to the forum. Not boring or bland at all, makes a nice change seeing some work on the electrics to the usual performance upgrades.
What are your next plans?
