Well if you were in France on the trip you would have seen just that. CTR vs 172 many times, up to at least 100 cos when I was racing Jas in his 172 I got a dodgy start and reeled him in slowly but he said I would have overhauled him at 115 or something. To be honest I wasnt watching the speedo...
Get a K&N (or any other performance brand, it makes no difference at all) filter element for your airbox.
Use the original airbox and ducting if you still have it. It feeds down to the bottom passenger side of the engine bay just in front of the wheelarch.
On the other side of this panel...
Dont know the GSD3. The old GSD2 pattern is the one I know which were definitely the best tyres Ive driven.
I like my Toyos at the moment but Id still go back to Eagles for their wet weather performance if I had the money!

hehe which wisdom tells you that the only benefit of an element is that you can wash it and reuse it? The whole point is that its made of the same stuff as a cone filter so has the same filtration properties *which does not clog up very quickly like a paper element*. The big difference is that...
Well Im still waiting for mine to be delivered after two months. Should do the trick once it gets here. Of course everything is a lot easier with a 172 seeing as they actually do an airbox specifically to fit the 172, which they dont for the 16 so Im having to use one designed for a BMW 3.0 Z3...
Well eventually you will hit the limiter in any gear if you keep your foot down. THe book speed for a WIlly is I think 134mph? This is obviously at the normal rev limit in 5th so this is what you hit unless youve had it chipped for a higher limit.
More power wont make any difference to the...

Another thing as well if youre not convinced - you can put the unit in your hand and tilt it front to back slowly and steadily and get a 0-60 reading for your hand!
I know this is a silly example, obviously the unit would give a reading because its measuring acceleration force caused by the...
Hmm Im not so sure about the accuracy of speed/acceration timings Joe. Remember it has a squat setting to compensate for the effect that the rear of the vehicle squatting has on the accelerometer. So it clearly makes a difference how hard your suspension is.
To the accelerometer it makes no...

Final drive governs the top speed. Two boxes can have the same ratios but if the final drive ratio is higher on one it will give it a higher top speed and longer gearing in each gear.
Well I know a Williams clutch fits a 16v and vice versa, and Im pretty sure the 19 uses the same clutch as the 16v, and that the GTT one is also exactly the same.
hehe theres a whole can of worms here...I just cant believe that any standardish or standard 172 will do low 6s of any kind. Theyre quick but not that quick. The 0-100 in 13.5 seconds is bloody quick and sounds well off the mark. If that is a true reading then I wanna see it 1/4 mile - with that...
