    strange. all the 182/172s ive been in have had a storage tray under the passenger seat with the changer under the drivers seat.

    I would be using metal ones, galvanised. 1/2" will do, they dont have to be long.

    they're just small self tappers. nothing special is needed.

    gently rub the surface with some wet n dry so the primer sticks. Make sure you clean it thoroughly after keying the surface

    yes, 2 coats will do. Any primer will do as the bullets aren't flexible. You'll need to fully key the surface before using the primer too...

    I thought I was doing the same as you're planning when I traded my Ph1 172 in for a 182... but in fact all I did was waste £5000 as the Ph1 172 was a much better drivers car than my 182.
