Assuming the engine is healthy then CAT428 cams along with a good remap will see circa 15bhp increase. Idle quality is pretty much as per standard and low speed driveability is unaffected, very low RPM torque is slightly reduced but the fact that the engine will pull cleanly for another 1000RPM...
Franx - It will put your car well over the 200bhp mark along with a corresponding increase in torque. It's hard to say exactly how much torque as I don't know what spec your C&B cams are exactly.

Pointless in my humble opinion. The standard throttle body (cable or DBW) is not a restriction, the standard inlet manifold is the restriction.
Fitting a larger throttle body will just give you effective WOT (simply put the point at which the flow capacity of the body exceeds the flow capacity...
Current daily use PC - P2 300, 256MB RAM, 6GB hard disk. 7 Years old. Made of pure win IMHO ;-)
Really must get around to buying a new one soon!

Mine had 144K on it when I sold it and it never missed a beat! I think its a bit like Vanos on E36 M3's the reported problem is far worse than the actual problem.
Now E46 rear diffs........ they're a problem - I had/did one every 20K!

Yes it would. However if its only weeping a bit don't worry about it.
Even our brand new Oreca built race engines weep a bit of oil from the VVT actuator and rocker cover bolt holes.
It's an F4R thing ;-)

Just to clear this up the cam cover has no gasket. It's a sealant job!
Leak could also be from the VVT actuator so worth checking that out as its a quick fix.

Tried the blue and it looks a bit default to be honest. Not half as good as you might expect. That was my intial thinking.
Grey and Yellow has been used on a few fast RS's recently, mostly in Rally. Grey and Yellow are the proper Renault Sport colours at the end of the day so it suits and...
Here's a sneak peek of the Super Cups new colour scheme.
The chequered flags might not make it onto the final one though ;)
Ambient Graphics (www.ambient-graphics.com) Have done the design and I reckon its spot on! They've recently done a friend of mines Elise and their workmanship and...
12.5:1 will IMHO be far better for the cam spec and rev limit you will be running. Stan* is bang on, as is Fred regarding the rods - standards with ARP's are fine for the rev limit you want to run.
Calm down and stop looking for ways to spend money Ben ;-) Get the current lump running...
Was on GlobalSpec/Link mate. Sure they are on e-bay for not a lot more though. Said Renault 5 on the box mine came in but they're all pretty much the same!

R888's and a handy driver. 58.5 should be relatively easy. I can get a standard one around in 60.5 and I am in no way a handy driver!
Full interior! Although it may get different front seats at some point. Stripping the rears is only worth a hanful of KG's as they are very, very light.

See the thing is I do. I fail to see the point in compromising the handling of the car for a purely aesthetic reason. Okay theres a CofG advantage but thats not really applicable to this car as it won't be on slicks and won't pull the kind of G where that becomes important.

Completely boggo out the box Bilstein spec with 4lb helper springs.
I have a load of springs spare but actualy can't be arsed to start playing as its very, very good as per supplied by Bilstein if there is sufficent ride height in the car.
At the moment I feel it really needs a bit more...
Do you understand the concepts of damper travel and bump steer? As they're pretty important in understanding why running excessively low ride heights is a limiting factor on track and road cars. It's not about 'being sensible' its about building a car which is useable and fast in the real world...
