The 'Manual' makes no mention of the gasket and advices the use of silicone.
I tend to just use silicone, if applied as per the manual I've never had one leak.

You can must manage a solid 190bhp on the standard inlet manifold with Cams, low loss exhaust, matched inlets and a suitable ECU calibration.
For 200bhp+ you need to replace the standard inlet manifold with something more suitable/capable.

Why not just go over and over? Are both sections the same size?
Jetex do a load of joiners, step downs etc. on line. Just order one and a pair of clamps.

If you have to have one then the ITG kit is the best aftermarket induction kit out there. Available in ally or carbon fibre. Drop me a PM for prices. I can sort you some discount.

Ouch! Complete lack of oil pressure and fallout in sump or is it something less serious?
If its the one I think it is it does have a hard life though ;-)

Couple of grand +. Worth noting I've used a brand spanking new cylinder head to remove any doubts regarding valve sealing, head work/port shape etc. during testing. These are over a grand alone.

Oreca carry stock of them and the usual suspects will produce on request. Arrows will do them DLC'd as well if you really want to be flash.
The standard valvetrain goes a lot further than people think though, Renault have been playing for the new 250bhp 83X upgrade kit.

Load of b****cks. The mixture either lights off properly (resulting in an evenly expanding burn from the plug) or it doesn't. If it's lighting off properly under all conditions and temperatures then you won't find any more power by changing plugs.

Acoustic valve is there to meet drive by noise regulations yet still provide some amount of induction noise when over 3000RPM or so. Fail to see how it can be arthur or marther in its sexual persuasion.......
Charcoal Cansiter stores fuel vapor from the tank and releases it at a controled rate...
Shouldn't do, both 73X and 83X oil strainers are similar dimensions.
'Black Boxes' are Drivers Side: Charcoal Canister/Tank Breather, Passenger Side: Accoustic Valve.

I recognise that engine :-)
It's the oil strainer/breather. Worth noting your one will be different as my new lump (above) has an 830 strainer on it.

Renault have a 230bhp upgrade kit out and a 250bhp kit is in development at the moment. 230 kit uses the standard manifold.
You'll need a management solution though as both kits are being developed for the X85 and C85 on MM SRT engine control. I'd be tempted to see what could be done on the...
Done! Was a PITA though as out of 16 shiney new lifters 4 refused to prime properly. If you've purchased any recently from Renault best to call up and check the batch no with them as apparently one is 'dodgy'. Had to pull the covers/cams and replace all 16 with a set from a different batch...
