    Potential Volvo Purchase

As you know, I like Volvos. This has come up for sale and I can’t make my mind up whether to go for it or not. I’ve wantes a v8 Volvo for a few years - they’re few and far between. This one has the 3.5 litre rover v8 with the addition of boost. It’s running around 300bhp. I’d have to sell my...

    RIP Audi Daily Driver

Heated Leather, Bose, parking sensors, radar cruise, sat nav, soft close doors, some light that comes on to tell you someone’s in your blind spot, drl pack, auto closing boot lid thing, rear privacy blinds, some bizarre load thing in the boot etc etc I think it’s more or less got every option...

Danny’s belt didn’t snap though. I think his was a tensioner that gave up. But yeah, same spec and age etc when they both died.

    RIP Audi Daily Driver

It was expensive. Paid 6.5k for the car in 2010 but then the gearbox shat it’s pants which cost 5k to sort out. If it wasn’t for the box it would have been a mega car.

    RIP Audi Daily Driver

So my Audi has died. It’s been with my for 8 years and I’ve done around 150k miles on it - a total of 225k miles on the clock. I put this post on Instagram yesterday after i treated it to a wash. Drove down to Doncaster to get some service parts as I always do the oil every six months as...

    Cars, loss of motivation

Sack l cars off and get into bikes. They don’t lose money, go silly fast and I tend not to get bored of nearly dying everytime I go out on it.

    Small bump - advice needed

If he doesn’t want to do that say you would feel more comfortable going through insurance - he’ll soon change his mind.

    Small bump - advice needed

Any claim would put your insurance up. I’d get the friend of a friend to produce an invoice and get the guy to pay it before you get it done. f**k chasing someone in civil court for an £80 debt.

    479 mile PH2 V6.

After to some extent but these are special limited edition collector cars. They’re cars that are investments and not viewed as a mode of transport. You can get sentimental about it or you can revel in the fact that you’ve doubled your money.

May have to sell the RB182 :(

For a ‘mint’ car that certainly needed a fair bit of work! Good effort.

    479 mile PH2 V6.

I doubt if you’re spending 60k on a Clio that a cambelt and some new wheels will be a big problem. It’s a one off motor really. I honestly don’t think it’s hit it’s ceiling either, I reckon these could hit 100k in a few more years.

    In two minds

Check the arches for rot. Ten years in Scotland I’m surprised it’s not just a set of tyres.
