Potential Volvo Purchase

As you know, I like Volvos.

This has come up for sale and I can’t make my mind up whether to go for it or not.

I’ve wantes a v8 Volvo for a few years - they’re few and far between. This one has the 3.5 litre rover v8 with the addition of boost.

It’s running around 300bhp.

I’d have to sell my bike to pay for this but I’m not sure what to do. Our lass thinks I’m a nob most of the time but I’m elevating towards total nob status.

It's the wrong engine, old Rover lumps are total crap.
It'll s**t it's guts ,soon enough. Then you'll be left with a rotten car and a fucked engine.

that engine will be 230 - 250 hp max due to the s**t head on the 3.5 unless it's a TVR head,
money better spent on something like a v70 T6 AWD like this

Yeah, was pretty disappointed when he sent me the rest of the pictures. I think he’ll struggle to get 2.5k. No structural rot (apart from the mot advisories......).

I provisionally sold my bike too so have had to let that guy down.

I don’t think I’ll get one of those for 3.5k though. In fact, I’ve only ever seen one in the UK and it was 10k! Great motor though.
