I thinking have the spoiler in LY would tie in with the rest of the car. Going white would be a no-no for me, as I think it would cheapen the whole thing. Have it painted white, then maybe have the blade wrapped in black or grey if you fancied some contrast? Easily reversible and still quite...
Almera looks a bit of a bread van, but was meant to be a good car. The GTI was meant to have a decent chassis I think. A friend had a couple of Primera GTs with the same engine and they seemed to go ok. I quite like the N1. It's an oddball homologation special, so it's cool. Can't say I would...
I can't remember the exact wording in the blue book but I am sure they are making arrangements so that cages with existing FIA homologation can have the new tubes retrofitted. As you say, the new build clause usually protects existing cars but, with the MSA moving cars to the new passport system...
Understand the reasoning. My thought was that the MSA are mandating A-pillar reinforcement tubes for new build stage rally cars from 2019 and I can see them extending that to all disciplines (knowing the MSA!) so it future proofs a bit, should it ever become a competition car. That and it looks...
Not particularly up on the BTCC. Does a bloke just cut a random shape out of a bit of ply and guess where approximately to nail it on? Just because the material is cheap (chosen for good reasons no doubt), doesn't mean the whole approach is guesswork. The aero on NGTC seems to be quite...
How is what I said stupid?
Of course you're right; a well designed splitter does make a difference, I never disputed that. But what are the chances that this has ever seen a wind tunnel, basic CFD analysis or even a genuinely experienced eye looking over it? At £140 a go, slim I would guess. I...
Thanks mate. I do love the colour combination. Most pre-facelifts seem to be black, white or grey, so was nice to find one in a slightly different colour.
I know what you mean. I had a Golf R before this which, in many ways, was a better daily, but this is so much more fun and engaging to...
That's the critical statement; when done right. I understand the benefits of aero (I have an engineering degree and worked in the motorsport business), but I would be amazed if any genuine R&D has gone into this. If it had, I suspect it would be much more than 140 quid.
Mine is a pre-facelift 265 in Capsicum Red:
I spent quite a long time finding one with plenty of options, so I have 19s, Cup chassis, leather Recaro, R.S. Monitor, black roof, Xenon's, even the R.S. gear knob lol.
Currently standard apart from the mid box chop, GT Performance...
Every time I see a Clio with this sort of thing fitted, I have a little laugh to be honest. I would bet that, if you back-to-back tested this with and without, it would make precisely zero difference. If any science has gone into the design, I would be amazed.
This may upset their fans, but I...
Yeah climate was s must for me, along with Cup chassis. It does look great.
The mid box chop isn't really loud at all to be honest. Still sounds very OEM, but just a few more pops and bangs and less like a vacuum cleaner lol. I'd recommend going in one if you can. As I say, best £50 I've ever...
Like it, looks well. Didn't like the facelift when it first came out, but it's grown on me lately. Love that colour too.
What spec is it? If it's got the standard exhaust, get the centre silencer removed, it unleashes the pops and bangs and gives a slightly more aggressive exhaust note. Best...
