The Sunflowers have one, so do the Racing Blues and even the Arctic Blues...
...why are Mondials being left out?
I shall start with my dented ex-daily/track car, currently in hibernation waiting for me to find the time to turn it into a proper track car...
Where are the rest of...
These have grown on me a lot recently. Whilst I like the 306, I'd take the Megane all day long. If it was a standard GTI-6 it might be different, but that's just because of my weird attitude towards forced induction on normally aspirated hot hatches lol.
Meg looks good in red. Would ditch the...
Love it. I really like it in saloon form as well, looks really aggressive. I think it's carried over to the latest version too, I would have an M3 over an M4. The wide arches just look really good on a four door body in both cases.
Nice purchase!
Harsh man, there was still SOME paint left, which surely made them a solid 1/10 lol.
Glad they came out ok, amazing how bad they were really! I should have had them done myself really but I am way too lazy lol.
Yes, the prevailing feeling towards the stages is still very much rear or four wheel drive. A competitive RWD car can really be big money though. It's one area where I think racing is much better organised. The class system in rallying really does mean that money talks. At least in circuit...
Lordy, I was struggling to even identify what it was from that picture! You bashed pretty much every obvious MK1 feature out of it from side-on!
Never been tempted back onto the stages?
A roll cage in a daily would drive you nuts.
If you're only doing the odd track day or 'ring trip, then it isn't really necessary. If you're driving so fast at the 'ring that rolling is a possibility, then you're probably driving too fast anyway.
Car is now back, having had new steering rack and ARB bushes fitted, along with the alignment adjusted.
It is better without doubt, but the tramlining is still present. Mark said he couldn't see any cause for it. He said my tyres aren't ideal, which I agree with, so that might be making it a...
It's ok. I did have some issues with a baffle coming loose but it was replaced under warranty.
One of the stainless options is probably better for performance but I just wanted something cheap and cheerful and didn't want a load of noise.
This.
And this.
Took my rally car "off the road" for a couple of months to give the interior a little freshen up. Three years later and it's still little more than a rolling shell!
The Fiesta ST is a great car, but outgunned in that company.
The turbo power of the Megane has its temptations, as the n/a Clio can feel a bit over stretched at times. At least with the Megane you would have more grunt to pass people on the straights. But, more cost and potential stuff to go...
Most interesting.
Did you Tricolore guys race there last year? Would be interesting to see some lap times across the different classes.
Not that I want to thread hijack!
I've not noticed any clicking or clunking sounds from my car. My symptoms just seem to be severe tramlining and steering wriggle under hard acceleration on uneven roads, much more than other 172s I've driven.
It's going to Mark Fish on Monday and he is fitting poly rack bushes amongst other...
Glad to hear it. I'm still tempted to get you to have a look at a JC5 for me though! There's also my MTX75 to consider, so you better hurry up and finish your car so you can get on with those lol.
