Stripped the head down this evening to inspect all the valves....and decide weather i want to replace them all or not....
Started by taking the top off the head, so the valves were easier to remove...

Bit of an update....done 1500miles or so on the F7R, and its used nearly all the oil. Coolant is still going down, but doesn't seem to be running as hot...

yeah realised that lol...........with the amount of other things that need buying paying out circa 150 quid for new valves is near out of the question!

started removing the valves out of the williams head yesterday.....and ran into a problem, once again....
They are slightly worn, only looked at the exhaust valves, not checked inlets yet.
going to try some cutting paste as said when I posted up for a solution, if...
The lip on a valve shouldnt be this big should it?
What options do i have....(stem seals are being replaced whatever happens) reuse valves? new valves? or re-lapping them? what sort of cost am i looking at for 16valves to get that done if thats the case? Also would they need re-seating into...
aye....i had this exact problem.
I tried everything, cleaned idle control valve, and ran a fresh ground wire to the speedo cable sensor (back of clocks) as that is supposed to fix it.....but it didnt.
I ended up getting a speedo cable from winston, and it fixed the problem!

yeah its kicking in, just runs very warm......using more fuel today too, used a tenner in no time!

probably be going to a 2" straight cut exit, im going for mild steel too.....rasp!
its going in for it on friday 5th december, so the block needs to be built by then :)
