Valves....Take a look, pic inside...



The lip on a valve shouldnt be this big should it?

What options do i have....(stem seals are being replaced whatever happens) reuse valves? new valves? or re-lapping them? what sort of cost am i looking at for 16valves to get that done if thats the case? Also would they need re-seating into the head? again...what cost?

Take it stem seals where leaking? looks pretty clean to me, but you have gone to the effort of removing the valves, so just spend a few quid and buy some new ones...

valves are a max of 15.00 mate but or you valver id say £7 just wack a few in but yeah that does look a little to much scored

yep thats fine,, get some fine cutting paste and see how it comes up you want a uniform grey line all the way round


i reckon that will lap in fine.

the lips only that big as the seats have probably been cut in the past so it sits further in..

better seal + effectively a larger valve opening!

mini-valver

Like Ditz says. Get some fine valve cutting paste and a sucker stick (Liek a mini toilet plunger, lol) Then grind them all in until there is no gaps in the paste on the valve or seat. Easy.

dont think they were leaking, but i dont really know as its from a williams head I am overhauling to put on my bottom end...
