The front sport bumper looks a million times better than the non sport one anyway! I'd understand modifying the front wings to fit a sport front bumper but not the other way round???
A PO had put loooads of screws in my rear trim. Presumably to get rid of the rattle but looks fairly OEM. I did add a couple myself and I just use the bumper/side skirt screws. Worked well...
Spoken to multiple kwik-fits and the best price i can get is £279.96. They refuse to pricematch invoices which is a shame.
Makes sense to just get these though as Ben Patey is £240 delivered tyres only, and for £39 more I save any hassle of finding somewhere to fit them.
That isn't a reversing light, it's a brake light. It's just the standard spoiler one, same as fitted to none sports. Put your car in reverse, get out and have a look from behind to see where they are in the clusters.
Had a go at repairing this today so thought i'd update.
Got it glowing with a blow torch and I carefully positioned it in the correct position using the little 'cup' to make sure the hole was the right shape and not distorted. I attacked it with a wire brush then ran over it with a few beads...
A pic of my flange:
You can kind of see how it's almost twisted on the bottom one. I think I'll get it on axle stands this weekend and make some sort of brace from some 3mm steel and buzz that on. Grinder will soon sort out that rust
I presume the best bet for a vband is through a proper exhaust place or someone who can use TIG, rather than messing around with MIG. What sort of price would I be talking for one of those to be fitted?
I think having a cheap badly fitting decat has meant too much force has been applied to that flange and it's been weakened over time.
It's bent pretty far, and i'm worried bending it back will make it snap. I'll attempt with plenty of heat. Ideally i'd take the manifold off, but that's a lot...
