Not sure how to visibly check it, but you can just do a continuity check with a multimeter to see whether it's getting voltage on either side. I doubt you'd get lights on the dash if this had blown though...

You may have gotten lucky and just blown the big fuse on the top of the positive terminal.

Do they do mots? Go to them for an MOT and let them struggle with the emissions! Really gutted as when you take your car to a garage the last thing you expect is for it to come back in worse condition. Especially when you're paying for the work to be done. Take the good with the bad I guess...

Are there any torque values I need to be tightening the tie rod to when replacing? Also, do I want to be greasing it up, or just leaving it dry under the boot?

I'm not sure if they can be separated. That would be an ideal solution though.

Did anyone find a good method of removing the stickiness from the plastic panels in the sports? I have fitted non sport door pulls/ hazard panel etc, however the satnav surround is all sticky and you can't just get a non sport variant of this. I had thought maybe IPA, or wet and drying? Just...

Just wondering what one of the better tyre choices are for 15's? I was always going to get some ps3's, but then @Niall mentioned AD08R's. Just for general all round road use, no track driving.
