It won't. The weight savings are comparable if you look at a 5-door mk3 versus the 5-door mk4. The 200 is changing from a 3-door to 5-door though, so weight wise will be lighter from the technology, but heavier from the extra doors...so pretty much the same.

^^^ always be in the right gear at the right time. Also allows you to moderate your speed better using just the throttle as engine braking is more pronounced. Before I did the IAM I always used to go for the highest gear possible thinking it was the most economical...I was so far off the mark...

Surely some of the reasoning behind it is to do with efficiency? Can't modern DSG 'boxes accelerate quicker than the equivalent manual and also return better MPG? If so, eventually ALL cars are likely to come with them, just the same as how turbo engines are now replacing NA.

Could be the throttle body (or throttle pedal itself)...that's what my 172 Cup suffered from when it dropped into limp mode.

I found when running these that they did lack as sharp an initial bite as standard pads would give you. Have you run the, through any heat cycles? Got any pad material on the disc surface?

I never had a problem either on my 172 Cup, would/could happily run all day long on a variety of road rubber. In the 200 though, the extra 300kgs seem to ask a bit too much of the rubber.

No other reason than this. I do trackdays for fun, lap times are pointless, the less grip the better for learning the car. AD08s with their higher grip seem at odds with this, but both Continental Sportcontacts and Michelin PE2s pretty much evaporated/shed tread blocks when I ran them on track...

Standard size, 215. 225 would give too much grip for me, 215 is just right.
