    Great, thanks.

The benefit of decent fuel, hard driving, and lots of miles

Yup, from the exhaust right down to the paper air filter. The figure today wasn't a surprise...i thought it would be around 190 or so. Compared to how it felt when I first got it in Dec 2011 yes...it's noticeably keener.

Problems with Clio 4 order and my options.

The benefit of decent fuel, hard driving, and lots of miles

Lower curve was from a year ago, 19k miles having been driven mostly by the original OAP owners (so likely never seen over 3k rpm) and no doubt on standard 95 fuel. Upper curve is from today...I've spent the last year putting 22k more miles on it (a daily 50 mile beasting on deserted country A...

What have you done to your car today ???

Today I found out you can gain 11bhp just by driving your car. True story.

    ABS and ESP fault

Had my 200 on the rollers today, no issues at all and parked it up fine afterwards. An hour or so later when I come to leave, the ABS warning light along with the ESP light are illuminated and I get two dashboard messages telling me I have errors with both systems. ESP button was non-responsive...

    8th South Central / East: Surrey Rolling Road : £30! : Saturday 9th February 9am

Thanks Jon, nicely run day as always. Good to see faces old and new. Very happy with how my 200 has come on since last year!

Tea/coffee is laid on FOC by Charlie. Last time there was hot food as well...although that's not always been the case. Probably best to plan to get something to eat yourself, but drinks will be covered.

They can, just not for the flawed PS3.

    Changing pads on CS197 Brembo's

They don't rotate...so long as you can get the required pressure on them (and have undone the filler cap on your brake fluid reservoir) they'll push straight back into the caliper body. Of more concern is getting the pins out...have you ever changed front pads on your 197 before?

New owner of Storm Grey 200

Gearbox tips? Don't rush it. I try to be as smooth as possible with mine, 'feeling' my way gently into each gear. Has been fine so far (42k miles) And works daily without complaint or concern. Having said that I don't doubt for one second that if I attacked it and went for 1/4 mile type rapid...

    10 former keepers on a 182!?

The issue I see with multiple owners is none of them generally giving a f*** about the long term health prospects of the car. Taking the 50k mile example with 1 versus 10 owners...would people not see more value in the one owner model? The owner who's likely driven it with a degree of sympathy...

    Fuel Cost USA

Isn't the average fuel in the USA something like 92 RON? Sod putting that in my 200.

    CG-Locks

I've used one on both road and track for the last 5 years or so. Can't fault it. Easily transferable from car to car. Gives good hip restraint on track, and excellent posture on road. I got mine originally when I had a back problem but since then have used it every single day as it's so...

    3 Door Clio (2003) - Door adjustment

I had something similar to this when the wind ripped my driver's door out of my hand...was catching on the wing just like you describe... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?636399-Argh!-My-200-f*****-by-the-wind! I ended up at a bodyshop a friend has used for years - the owner has...

Yoko AD08's vs Toyo R1-R's for road/wet track days.

Exactly. Was expecting much worse from them that day but they did all that could reasonably be asked of them.

Yoko AD08's vs Toyo R1-R's for road/wet track days.

In the wet? Fine unless you accelerate hard while cornering fairly hard through an inch of standing water... They coped really well with those conditions on that day. I'd not hesitate to go back there again on another set knowing the rain would likely be exactly the same. How well do R888s...

Yoko AD08's vs Toyo R1-R's for road/wet track days.

Finally got out with an accurate digital tread depth gauge today and my AD08s have 3.0mm front and 2.5mm rear. This is after 11,000 miles. I only expected 6-8k miles out of a set when I originally bought them, but it looks like I'll see at least 13k. Incredible considering how they feel, grip...

The 'What MPG Do You Get?' Thread

Here's how my 200 has got on over the last month or so. Taking it easy in the bad weather saw a good 2-3 mpg extra until I got bored and started driving it properly again. Average of 34.1 mpg over its entire life with me so far, 22,741 miles. I'm happy with that.

Clio track day car, need it gone.

I'd agree. I got only £2k for my 53 reg 172 Cup in March last year, condition similar to yours (only without a crease in the floor), a few more miles but with full specialist service history showing fluid services every 6k miles from new. if I still had it and was selling it now I'd consider...

Why do so many people on here not rate the Clio?

Variety and diversity, of both cars and members (and their careers/expertise/characters) is why I'd hang around regardless of what car I own. I'm sure I could get info. on M3 ownership from a BMW forum, but I'd have to register first, introduce myself blah blah blah. On here, Sir_Dave is pretty...
