Did the start up test today, the fuel dial is on absolute zero and doesn't move at all,
yet it told me I had 7 litres in the tank which at £1.40 a litre for super unleaded is £9.80's worth so I thought happy days,
took the dog out and went down down the shops for a few things, re-did the test...
I think it's the same as looking a super models, yeah they're fit and you want a go, but you know looking at them is all you'll ever get,
whereas the bird over in the corner no one's noticed that looks like fun, low maintenance and won't cost you the Earth is actually obtainable,
plus she looks...
I think there's something wrong with me, as much as I like all the supercars and classics,
this is the thing that catches my eye.

So I should be good for taking the dog out Mon & Tue and a trip down the shops with the fuel light on,
i've got money coming in the bank on Wed, quite interested to do the start up test tomorrow morning.
I've been thinking about this every time it happens,
when i'm nearly out of fuel and the needle is just touching the red line but the fuel light hasn't come on yet,
the trip computer says I can do another 40 miles before i'm totally out of fuel, 40 miles is like £10 quids worth of fuel in my...
I didn't change a damn thing when I put Eibach Prolines on mine,
7 years later and my standard dampers and top mounts are still going strong
and i've done trackdays with them too.
Next thing is to loosen off the 4 engine mount bolts and try pulling the engine forward,
if that doesn't fix the knock then you might have to start looking elsewhere.
It does sound like the manifold knocking,
loosening the engine mount bolts and pulling the engine forwards is a good shout,
it's worth trying it before you spend anymore money on garage time.
Have you tried rocking the engine with your hand to see if there's any movement?
If there's any play in the mounts you should be able to move it a bit and possibly hear the knock.
Are you sure it's not your suspension top mounts?
They can knock like a b*tch.
What a sh*t heap, you must be so embarrassed to be seen driving that old thing,
just to help you out and spare you the shame of people seeing you in it,
i'd be willing to take it off your hands, i'll be hard but i'm willing to bare the shame for you,
I know I know you don't have to thank me, i'm...
