Both were about even I think.
Both cars had manifold and head work along with the usual exhausts and Ik plus a custom remap so they should have been dead even only difference was the cams.
The cars are allowed under Renault warrantly to burn 1 liter per 600 miles.
So long as the warning lights not on you should be fine.
Sounds like the garage havn't changed the sump washer though if you don't chance it it leaks either than or it needs tigthening up.
Its no huge issues I'd...
3.4 liters you need.
I used Miller 75/90 in my Willaims (same box realy) and its very good a bit notch when cold but no worse than stock stuff but superb when warm. £40 I think for 5 liters from Demon tweeks
The purple royal stuff is the best but its pricy
You cannot decat the car as they don't have one in the first place.
There not like petrols a decat or reomving the internals of the smoke trap (the bit rirectly heind the turbo) won't many any more power unless you remap.
MOT isn't an issue you only have a smoke test there no test like the...
You've damage the stupid little thingies in the gearbox that hope the dif together it sounds like.
I'm sure your car should have a driveshaft pins holes in which case you should fit the pins.
I'll find my Mk1 Cio book (I assume the one you own) and tell you what the thingie that broke is.
AWT is a compnay BenR on the forum owns the carms are better designed ask ben how as I don't understand him once he starting going on but he'll be able to explain it.
I'd definatly go for his cams though I know 2 two liters the same work to both of them but one had pipers and made 195hp the...
Theres not a huge amount in it the 1.6 has a bit more torque and power buts its not much.
The 1.6 will allways make more power with the same modifications but there more expensive to buy and insurer.
I'd look at a 172 personally.
If you want to do that quick get a 1.8 16V Mk1 Clio.
The 1.6...
Milage does help them get better.
As for servicing compared with the Williams its cheaper only 1 service ever 18k vs 3 for the Williams. Then again there not that much to do.
37. something on the road. On track I got 29. somehting its a bit difficult driving along and looking at the gauge...
The cars not very highly tunned realy. The idle is affected by what you have turned on CC affets it also electics liek lighte stec as they put load on the alternator (hence why the engine revs up when you stick CC on).
My car should be lumpy if anything with the quite extreme cams its got way...
No point in going on 182's 16's are fine any more and its just for looks performace will suffer.
10hp doesn't make a huge difference the new hubs on cup spec cars are better but thats not a huge deal.
172's have a bit more bottom end it seems or maybe its just the way the ones I've been in...
Remaps for £350 now if you realy want.
Nope there no have a go programming the only thing you could do is unplus one of the throttle potentialometers (which works out throttle position) as idle is then increased to 1.3k.
172 ones won't fit without modifications and new brackets making up but its not a huge job.
Best go get some 1.8 16V or Williams or Mk2 phase 2 disks pads brakcets etc as they are a direct bolt on there slightly bigger at 259mm disk vs 239 as you use.
The cat thingie is how many holes the cat has a decat has 0 as there just one bit hole the 172 has a restrictive cat with a cel of 400 the 182 has a 200 cel cat from memory. The smaller the number the less restrictive.
its in the gearbox
Means the wheels cna turn at different speeds so you don't go tearing tryes on the bedns when both wheels would want to go at the same speed,.
Its uses the gearbox oil
How come?
The gearbox isn't that bad on mine. I prefere it to the Williams knowing that the quickshift isn't exactly useful as its only showing the junk box to chnage gear faster than it wants to.
I know what you mean though its a long way forward fit the quickshift to the dci and you'll have the same...
The 65dci gets hot back there. The turbos sitting right there with a direct feed to the intake it must be pushing some seriouu temps there.
There no need for one you won't get any more power get a tunning box if you want more power.
But a better idea is to change the oil more often makes a big...
I use Ferodo premier FDB 845 £17 they are from halfords.
Theres only type of brakes the catalogues are wrong the car uses the same calipers as the Williams/1.8 16V and the 5gtt (different sized disks are used at 239mm on the 5gtt wheras none RS clio Mk2 phas2 2 cars use 259mm disk)
From the...
No fuel tank is included but Matt would sell you one with new lines thats not a huge amount of extra work.
Maybe £100 for the extra bits then again you can have the dci tank cleaned so you can use it with petrol since both cars use the same tanks lines and pumps.
Its not realy economical...
Its nothing to do with the VVT controlling the timing (that only activated between 1.6k and 6.5k and then its only under certain conditions) its just the way the cars mapped.
