A 2.0 Nova is a quick car there lighter and there better engines stock than the Renault 2.0
Mi16 must have had a hlf inch exhaust ther every quick cars.
R32 errr was it towing a house maybe they didn't know they were being raced against.
Evogone- I know the score I'd be interested to see...
About £1.5k depends though Ktec wanted a develmoent car to learn how to do it along with some other tunners so they were asking £500 or so.
If you know what your doing and have the tools you can do it in about 20hrs
Yep 172 brakes are bigger 280mm vs 259mm on the none RS cars.
The parts are only £1.5k + vat from matt since that includes everything suspension brakes gearbox ecu engine etc there no reason to play about with a 1.6 since you'd ned to upgrade the gearbox ecu etc anyway.
You do need to disconnect it.
Some peoples cars set the emmsiosn light off with the second sensor fconnected after a few seconds some don't do it for months.
There no reason to have the second sensor connected.
More importantly though is some good tyres. My 4 pots worked perfectly today shame the tyres were as keen otherwise I'd have less of the scenery covering the car.
It seems to depend on cars the Skoda Fabia VRS owners do this mod and it works for them with ds2500's pads. Maybe cooling the disk isn't the problem maybe its the calipers.
I take it the Cossie's had big calipers?
Ben_p I don;'t know Evo gones car seems a good one plus he's a very good driver.
Funkyjahooner - I love my Willy (the cars fun as well)
Craigs got it right though. Why not get a superbike if you want to go very fast.
The the parts department
Me "I need some rear shoes"
After some checking numberplate etc are you sure there drums etc etc yep here you are drum pads.
Never looked at the box opened turns out to be rear pads for a Williams. Not bad though sicne I did need some pads for the car still thats not...
I wish I'd had a video camera in my car today I think the WIlliams vs cooper S (which possibly should be a quicker car) debate would show that even me (not that good a drivr) managed to clearly be quicker on track I'm assuming the Mini driver was the same skill but he wouldn't push his £20k or...
Mk1 WIlliams cost a lot less.
I'm looking at a 172/182 at the moment. However give me a 182 and a Williams and I'll get the Williams round a track quicker.
Maybe the 182 is quicker standard vs standard (will depend on what car a good Williams vs a bad 182 I'd see the WIlliams winning etc). But...
The cars are all hybrid bodges and test cars.
There a Yellow 182 there (or muel) with an aftermarket front bumper I'm suprised its not in the pictures.
Those pics are a bit old though the V6 line shut down some time ago
£150 for new ball joints and stearing rack arms.
£150 for new brakes
That was when it went in for service last time.
I think I had warently work for somehting like £400 once though for sunroof alarm and something else some time back.
Best pricy fix I've seen if for a new V6 engine. £5k I...
There supposidly no replacment doesn't mean there won't be somehting along the same lines as the V6 did well for advertising the range and a top spec car.
Thats a photoshop no way it would look like that
Most likly IMO they will bring back the alpina brand as sell a V6 tyre car as Alpine...
No impact so long as Renault parts are used (best see if you can get reciepts for the parts used) the book is stamped and the garage is VAT registered.
£130 I think at GDi vs £200 from a dealership.
There a nice bunch in Chester or go to the Wrexham dealership or the Lewis read garage in Birkenhead or Liverpool.
There nothing worng with halford pads but hard constant braking will make them fade unlike stock or ds2500's will.
I've Pm you my number if you want any help etc.
If your going to save some money and get some ds2500s etc then just get the cheapest you can find and don't hammer the car. Then when you've the cash saved swop the whole setup to DS2500's.
I only live a few miles south of Chester drop me a message if you need any help. I'm up at Oulton park...
I think I paid (well my parents) about £150 to do it.
It wasn't that useful for me as I'd done about 4k miles before I passed my test in all weathers and conditions.
Depends how thick the disk is but you shoudl be ok.
I wouldn't go playing with a secrewdriver on the disk though.
Garages get people to buy disk as they are below the minimum thickness allowed by the manurfacturer.
You could get some of that stiff rubber used in making engine mount (I forget the techie name) but thats quite stiff. Remove the weak stock bit of rubbor on the top mount and pour that stuff in.
Lunner on here sells the for £35 I think.
it should frree the engine up and give a few more hp depends the condition of the staock one but it will be better regardless.
Halfords cheapo pads there no good when your driving hard but from cold there fine there something like £25 I think.
To get the disk off you need to remove the caliper bracket (2 bolts) then the disk is held to the hub by two thorx head countersunk screws you need an impact driver sometimes...
