The input gauges are on the 15 track grey connecter on the display unit.
One is brown and one is green. They are the only two on there own.
The Green one is the + signal input.
The Brown one is the zero volts signal.

There are a few units there the stock one the 172/182 get. Then there are a few that the dealers can buy for cars which have it as an optional extra which they fit.
You can just buy a gaiter and fit it yourself the gaiters £16 or so and the grease is £10 or so. Fitting it is a right pain its do able but will take ages with a good selection of screwdrivers and wedges.
Id recomend Millers 75/90 gearbox oil its been fine for my gearbox even on the track.
Try checking the oil level
The erv light indicates a failure not when it needs servicing. You should get another light the serv light isnt normally activated on its own.
Oil change is easy just like any other car. Filters a little more difficult, just need to remove the guard around the injectors (front fo the engine down by the radiatore) though which is only 3 bolts so its not a load more work.
Oil there a huge choice over Id go with Millers 5/40 personally...
The thing is people paid £10.5k on friends and family for 182s with both packs and the expensive colours. Trade who buy in bulk pay even less then have to add there profit so prices were so low from some places you cannot sell 1 yr old ones for £11k.
Its dead easy.
Remove the caliper and bracket (two bolts).
Remove the two nuts holding the disk on (impact driver youll need)
Push caliper piston back in.
Reasemble
There is a guide on the fum posted a while back. Just do a search for 172 or pad and it should brinf the guide up.
There all real however Freds car got custom springs lowering his car more than Fks will let you. The other car is a 172 Im not sure how different a Mk2 2 is to a Mk 2 1. Both of those cars have had there arch liners removed I think.
Regard kinked roofs - He must have hit the speed bump way to...
There value has dropped since production has stopped and the new RS is less than a year off.
Youll have trouble getting one that age for £9k though a year older for £9~9.5 is more likely private trade.
KW are the same sort of thing regards level 1 ,2 and 3 as FK. Either one is better.
Theres some pictures of mine in member profile of my car with stock 15s on Spax lowered 40 at the front and 60 at the back on coilovers. Fks can go lower I think at the front on there normal springs (upto 10mm...
Most engine have been done there a twin engined Williams there a Escort Cosworth (most of the floor panel was welded in though so you could call it a Cossie with a Clio on top).
A V6 or V8 is or was being being done.

Demon Tweeks do a kit I think which consists of a replacment sump plug.
I think it would be a good idea on a 172 etc just to see how hot that oil gets if its anything like the WIlliams there going to be a few failure 172 engine where owners have tracked then and not changed the oil realising...
It depends on the specification and engine but you can pick up small powered cars of that ages in good condition for £200.
If your lucky you cvan get cars for almost free it depends on the MOT test cars over 3 yrs old have to have if they fail that people often just give them away as scrapping...
